This complete infrastructure has high uptime requirements to support our critical trading operations.\nRole Description:\nAs a DevOps Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming and enhancing our infrastructure. You will collaborate with the Operations and Technical teams to improve our deployment pipelines, automate processes, and elevate our infrastructure.\nThis position requires strong Linux expertise, automation skills, and a deep understanding of network configurations and performance tuning for low-latency applications. If the following resonates with you, we would love to welcome you to our team.\nJob Responsibilities:\nAnalyze current systems, identify gaps, and spearhead improvements to optimize performance and scalability\nFine-tune Linux systems (kernel and user-space) to minimize latency and improve reliability\nDesign and manage real-time, low-latency networking configurations, adjusting kernel parameters, IRQ affinities, and CPU pinning as necessary\nImplement automation solutions using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)\nWork with specialized hardware (FPGAs, custom network cards, high-frequency switches) to optimize latency in trading systems\nDevelop and document backup procedures and failover strategies, conducting drills to improve failure tolerance\nRespond to issues and requests from the Operation and Technical teams\nQualifications:\n5+ years of experience in a DevOps, Systems Engineering, or related role\nProven ability to build, optimize, and scale Linux-based infrastructure\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail in fast-paced environment\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to respond to occasional off-hour emergencies\nStrong scripting and automation skills (Python, C++, Bash)\nExceptional capability debugging and solving complex issues related to both hardware, low level software, and networking\nKnowledge of network architecture\nBasic networking tool experience (ping, ifconfig, telnet, wireshark, nmcli)\nExperience with the following technologies:Computer hardware (such as Supermicro and Dell Servers)\nNetworking hardware\nFedora Linux\nFreeIPA, OpenLDAP, OpenVPN\nDNS\nZFS\nGitea, Zulip\nGRUB, PXE\n\n*Note: You are not expected to know every technology listed but experience in all is a plus\nPlease Apply If:\nYou're a problem solver who wants to understand the intricacies of a complex system\nYou’re a scripting pro who automates everything\nYou know the thrill of building, breaking, and re-building CI/CD pipelines\nYou’re excited by the opportunity to build and improve systems\nPlease note: The use of AI tools during applications, assessments, and interviews is strictly prohibited.
