Over the last three years we’ve built a real-time API that uses telco intelligence to help banks and other enterprises detect scams, prevent fraud and verify identity. This role is an opportunity to join a cross-functional product team who is committed and empowered to solve customer problems.\nYour role will be to help operate and build out our API technology stack. Our environment provides continuous and real-time delivery of telco intelligence to ensure our customers can take preventative action before money is lost.\nYou’ll collaborate with product management, customer success, data engineering, data science and UX design to ensure our solutions are effectively preventing financial crime. We are currently scaling our protection to new customers and working to continuously uplift our capability to adapt to ever-changing scammer behaviour. \nHow will you make an impact?\nAPI Development: Build and maintain commercial-grade APIs that are scalable, have high availability and low-latency.\nContinuous Improvement: Drive automation across infrastructure and application delivery to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency, including through Infrastructure as Code and CI / CD pipelines.\nRelease new product capability: Work closely within a cross-functional team to align backend solutions with product goals and technical requirements.\nBuild Collaboratively: Contribute actively to design decisions, engineering standards, and technical direction across the platform. This will include writing maintainable, well-documented code and adhering to coding best practices.\nThe superpowers you’ll be bringing to the team:\nExperience in infrastructure, reliability, platform engineering or DevOps\nExperience building, operating and troubleshooting business-critical production software systems\nProficiency in TypeScript and Node.js\nShell scripting skills, including automation of operational and deployment workflows\nExperience working with relational databases and SQL, ideally PostgreSQL\nStrong problem-solving and production troubleshooting skills\nThe ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical people\nThe ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team\nNice to Have:\nExperience building and operating containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift\nExperience with CI and deployment tooling such as Helm and Argo CD\nExperience with REST APIs\nUnderstanding of security principles, identity and access management, secrets management, compliance requirements, and platform security controls.\nRemember - you might not tick all the boxes, but don’t let that from stopping you applying.
