This role partners withOperations, HR, Benefits, and Finance to verify time, process payroll throughRippling, maintain compliance, reconcile payroll, and resolve employee payroll questions.\nWhat You'll Be Responsible For\nManage full-cycle, multi-state payroll processing through Rippling.\nReceive and verify payroll information and approvals from Operations.\nReview time data for regular hours, overtime, double-time, PTO, sick time, and applicable wage-and-hour requirements.\nImport verified time and pay data into Rippling and review payroll reports before final submission.\nAudit payroll registers and reconcile payroll to the general ledger.\nResearch and resolve payroll discrepancies quickly and accurately.\nAdminister deductions, benefits contributions, garnishments, and other payroll changes.\nEnsure accurate payroll tax withholding and timely federal, state, and local filings.\nProcess new hires, pay changes, and terminations while following state-specific requirements.\nPrepare certified payroll and prevailing wage documentation for applicable projects.\nManage year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and reconciliation.\nServe as the primary contact for employee payroll questions and discrepancies.\nSupport workers' compensation, 401(k), financial, and other payroll-related audits.\nMaintain accurate payroll records and provide reporting to Finance and leadership.\nIdentify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and the Operations-to-Payroll workflow.\nQualifications & Experience\n5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including multi-state payroll.\nPrevious Payroll Manager or Payroll Lead experience strongly preferred.\nExperience with Rippling or a comparable payroll/HRIS system such as ADP, Paycom, or Paylocity.\nStrong knowledge of payroll processing, FLSA, wage-and-hour requirements, and payroll compliance.\nStrong Excel skills for reconciliation, reporting, and data validation.\nUnderstanding of payroll accounting and general ledger reconciliation.\nConstruction payroll experience, including certified payroll/prevailing wage, preferred.\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, HR, or related field preferred.\nCPP/FPC certification is a plus.\nCore Competencies\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy\nStrong organization and time management\nConfidentiality and integrity\nProblem-solving and analytical skills\nStrong communication and collaboration\nAbility to meet recurring payroll deadlines\nProcess improvement mindset\nWhy Join Us?\nCompetitive salary and benefits package\nCareer growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding company\nCommitment to a strong safety culture and quality-driven projects\nWork Environment\nThis is primarily anoffice-based position with regular use of computers, payroll/HRIS systems, and communication tools.
