We are looking for a Development Engineer with a strong background in electronics development, ideally with experience in IC validation, RF/mixed-signal electronics or semiconductor applications.\nThis is an opportunity to work at the intersection of quantum technology, cryogenic electronics, semiconductor development and advanced hardware engineering. You will help turn emerging technologies into products that solve real scaling challenges for quantum-computing customers.\nAs a Development Engineer in Cryogenic Control, you will help create and integrate the products defined in our product strategy and contribute to the development of Quantum Machines’ cryogenic control electronics activities. You will evaluate semiconductor technologies and supplier offerings and develop their integration into our large-scale solutions for quantum chip packaging.\nA key initial objective will be to participate in identifying, evaluating and productising cryogenic multiplexer technologies together with the associated carriers, packages and test infrastructure.\nYou will work closely with quantum physicists, electronics engineers, packaging specialists, semiconductor partners, foundries and suppliers.\nThe role requires an engineer who can understand the system-level requirements, translate them into practical hardware solutions and help drive emerging technologies toward reliable products with a fast time to market.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and integrate cryogenic control electronics into Quantum Machines’ quantum chip carrier solutions. \nEvaluate and characterize cryogenic ICs and technologies from semiconductor partners and suppliers. \nDesign PCBs, test substrates and electrical interfaces for cryogenic electronics. \nDevelop and execute electrical and cryogenic characterization and validation. \nWork with IC, packaging and quantum specialists to turn emerging technologies into robust product solutions. \nRequirements\nWe expect you to have:\nA strong foundation in electronic engineering or applied physics. \nHands-on experience with electronic hardware development, test and validation. \nExperience with ICs, mixed-signal, RF/microwave electronics or semiconductor applications. \nExperience designing PCBs, test hardware or electronic interfaces. \nStrong experimental and measurement skills. \nExperience with cryogenic electronics, quantum-control systems or semiconductor packaging is highly valuable, but not required.\nExperience from a commercial technology organisation is an advantage.
