NPI Engineer is responsible for leading the transition of new products from development to scalable mass production, ensuring manufacturing readiness, quality, reliability, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.\nThe role serves as a key interface between R&D, operations, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, driving cross-functional execution throughout the NPI lifecycle.\nKey responsibilities\nNPI & Manufacturing Readiness\nLead end-to-end NPI activities from product design through production release and ramp-up.\nOwn manufacturing readiness, including processes, documentation, tooling, equipment, and test infrastructure.\nDrive structured transfer to production (TTP), ensuring smooth handover to manufacturing operations.\nLead production ramp-up and process stabilization, meeting quality, yield, cost, and schedule targets.\nManufacturing Engineering & Industrialization\nParticipate in design reviews and drive design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).\nDefine manufacturing processes, assembly methods, work instructions, tooling, and fixtures.\nCollaborate with R&D and Test engineering to establish production testing and system integration processes.\nSupport manufacturing infrastructure, automation, and production scalability.\nConfiguration & engineering changes\nEnsure accurate BOM’s, product revisions, manufacturing documentation, and configuration traceability.\nCoordinate ECO implementation and engineering changes throughout the NPI lifecycle.\nSupply chain & contract manufacturing\nLead engineering activities with contract manufacturers and suppliers, including knowledge transfer, process implementation, and manufacturing readiness.\nCollaborate with procurement and supply chain to address material risks, component availability, and alternative sourcing.\nSupport supplier qualification and production capacity expansion.\nQuality & Continuous Improvement\nIdentify and mitigate technical, manufacturing, and operational risks.\nLead manufacturing-related root cause investigations and corrective actions during NPI and ramp-up.\nSupport FAI, process validation, and production qualification.\nDrive improvements in quality, yield, cycle time, and manufacturing cost.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering .\n5+ years of experience in NPI or manufacturing engineering within complex electronic or electro-mechanical environments.\nProven experience in product industrialization, manufacturing transfer, and production ramp-up.\nStrong technical understanding of multidisciplinary systems, including electronics, mechanical assemblies, and system integration.\nHands-on experience with manufacturing processes, SMT, PCBA’s, production testing, tooling, and fixtures.\nExperience working with contract manufacturers and external suppliers.\nFamiliarity with PLM, ERP, BOM management, and ECO processes.\nStrong problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nExperience with global manufacturing operations and production
