Primary services include audio visual, video conferencing, digital signage, internet protocol television, telephony, and chat services.\nResponsibilities:\nPrepare operational guides\nTrain Government customers in proper use of AV/MM systems\nProvide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of AV/MM systems\nProvide Tier I (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems\nManage the daily activities of configuration and operation of AV/MM systems\nProvide assistance to users in accessing and using AV/MM systems\nDocument hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures\nCoordinate hardware installations across multiple sites\nMaintain and develop the environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration\nApply concepts and define and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrate those scripts with the hardware and software build process\nConduct analysis on AVMM systems by ensuring designs are cost efficient, able to be integrated, and reliable\nCommunicate with the other engineering personnel to coordinate the interrelated design and assure project completion\nDesigns, documents, and develops code for programmable devices.\nAnalyze complex hardware systems, hardware design, architecture, network design and other technical hardware issues.\nPerform testing on equipment.\nProvide hardware maintenance support, both preventative and remedial.\nDeploy, install, and implement AVMM at Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS).\nConduct site surveys\nStreamline control system interfaces to be fully automated and maximize user experience.\nConfigure control systems, communications devices and peripheral equipment\nDevelop costing proposals for the program manager\nPerform telecommunications punch block installation and maintenance for serial copper data paths\nInterpret drawings, specifications, and other related documents.\nDesign a wide variety of AVMM solutions including multi-level security VTC/PC systems, enterprise level VTC and collaboration systems, conference rooms, classrooms, command centers, auditoriums, digital signage, and streaming.\nActs as equipment custodian and performs inventory asset management and accountability functions\nAssist in defining and implementing hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures; such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrating those scripts with the hardware and software build process\nInterpret facility and AVMM drawings from architects and facilities program managers\nOrganize and directs hardware installations across multiple sites\nImplement hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures\nLeads the contractors in the designs of new products and processes and improve and maintain existing products\nProvide technical leadership to level 1 and level 2 contractor engineers\nAct as internal consultant providing technical guidance on complex projects\nOrganize and direct hardware installations.\nDevelop AVMM installation schedules based upon equipment delivery, integration complexity, and customer priorities\nPrepare drawings documenting as-built configurations\nOrganize and direct teams to address critical system failures\nQualifications\nRequired:\nBachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional AV/MM experience in the areas identified above may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree for a total of nine (9) years' experience.\nFive (5) years' experience in VidCAD or other CAD programs within the past seven (7) years\nCertification as a Technology Specialist (CTS) and/or CTS-Installation and/or CTS-Design training certification.\nMinimum 10 years' experience Crestron programming within the last 15 years.\nMinimum three (3) years' experience in leading other AV/MM Engineers on scheduling, project management, technical consultation, and guidance.\nSeven (7) years' experience as an AV/MM Engineer in a minimum of 10 skill sets below within the past ten (10) years with at least two (2) areas covering maintenance:\nAnalog, SDI and HD SDI signal processing and conversion\nScalable video coding\nCompression and decompression techniques\nEncoding/decoding of TV standards such as ATSC, QAM, NTSC, PAL\n Signal theory and analysis\nAudio processing\nSound reinforcement and speaker placement\nSightlines, screen size and projection distances\nIntegration/use of HID via Crestron DM Switch\nCable termination (Fiber, copper, audio, control, etc.)\nMaintenance of various HD/SD broadcast equipment (switchers, cameras, etc.)\nIntegration of audio and video teleconferencing systems\nInstallation and maintenance of IP based television\nOperation and set-up of various broadcast production switchers\nOperation and maintenance of audio mixers\nIntegration of wired/wireless microphone systems and configurations\nDesign, system integration and maintenance of AV/MM systems\nMulti-classification VTC and PC integration with numerous security mitigation techniques\nCustom fabrication of parts and cables\nInstallation of low voltage wiring and cable; soldering and termination of connectors; wiring of equipment\n\nDesired:\nExperience with one or more of the following: Extron, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams Room Systems, Cisco Video Conferencing, Attribute-Based Access Controls, Haivision, Session Boarder Controllers, Mass Notification, Land Mobile Radio\nClearance:\nTS/SCI w/Full Scope Polygraph\nAbout Quantum Sky\nCompensation:\nCompensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically between $140,000-$175,000.
