We build fast and iterate quickly.\nWho We’re Looking For\nAn experienced Information Systems Administrator to provide day-to-day technical administration for information technology, engineering, and infrastructure initiatives across the organization. This role supports IT systems, software, cybersecurity, and infrastructure planning and implementation, while coordinating closely with engineering programs and external partners as needed.\nWhere You’ll Make an Impact\nSupporting day-to-day technical implementation of information technology, engineering, and infrastructure initiatives within the organization.\nProvide technical advice and administration for all company IT resources and software accounts.\nCoordinates and manages assets including procurement, provisioning, maintenance, and deprovisioning.\nMay participate in identification, evaluation and recommendations on IT based solutions and vendors.\nSupports the implementation and administration of cyber security systems to protect all Quantum Space devices, software, and related IT systems.\nFacilitate the implementation of software and hardware systems necessary for efficient business operations throughout Quantum Space.\nWhat It Takes\nProvide advanced support of a diverse array of operating systems across platforms: Linux (Debian-based and RHEL-based distributions), macOS, and Windows.\nSupport and implement interoperability between different operating system architectures within the corporate and I&T application boundaries.\nUnderstand various networking technologies and the ability to provide logical network implementations, including routing, switching, access-control, and LAN/VLAN/WLAN methodologies.\nUnderstand scripting languages (BASH/Shell/YAML) and development of scripts consistent with automation processes.\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) and working through source code control.\nAdvanced hardware and network troubleshooting and resolution.\nKnowledge of cloud infrastructure technologies including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.\nKnowledge of IdP/SAML integration.\nKnowledge of virtualization, containerization, micro-services, and IaaS / PaaS / SaaS services.\nUnderstanding of continuous integration/continuous deployment and source control services, support, and deployment.\nThe ability to troubleshoot software and OS issues through data aggregation and log review.\nCoordination of project activities and work for engineering programs.\nThe ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, including development of playbooks, runbooks, and procedures.\nMinimum of 4 years’ experience in System Administration, DevOps, cloud, and network support.\nCompTIA Security+ certification and the ability to maintain DoD 8570.01 IAT/IAM certification.\nThe ability to hold and maintain a security clearance.\nWhat You’ll Get\nOwnership - Play a key role in shaping Quantum Space’s IT, infrastructure, and cybersecurity foundation\nCollaboration - Partner across engineering, operations, and business teams to build and support scalable technology solutions\nImpact - Design and deploy architecture, tooling, infrastructure, and security strategies that directly support mission and business operations\nGrowth - Join a fast-moving, build-and-iterate environment where you can expand your technical expertise and help shape systems from the ground up\n Compensation - Competitive salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, generous leave, HSA, 401(k) matching, and equity sharing\nLocation: Rockville, MD \nBase Salary: $110,000 to $130,000\nAdditional Requirements\nTo comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including ITAR, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.\nApply now.
