This is a hands-on role combining both automation and manual testing. You will be responsible for ensuring that every feature and release meets our quality bar before it reaches production - defining test strategies, building automated test suites, and catching issues before our users do. You will work closely with developers, product owners and business analysts in a fast-paced agile environment, taking ownership of quality across the full software delivery lifecycle.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\nCreate test strategies, test plans and test cases, and execute them to ensure delivered software consistently meets quality standards.\nDesign, build and maintain automated tests using Selenium and BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.\nExecute manual testing across functional, browser compatibility, device, smoke, integration and regression scenarios.\nReview user stories, acceptance criteria, code and tests produced by peers to ensure completeness and quality.\nActively participate in sprint ceremonies including planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.\nAssist in the rollout and post-release support of applications to ensure quality is maintained across environments.\nProduce and maintain documentation including test reports and release notes.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, test strategy and tooling across the team.\nCollaborate with a cross-functional team who collectively take responsibility for deliverables and quality.\nStay current with emerging QA tools, testing approaches and technologies, and bring actionable recommendations to the team.\nRequirements\nESSENTIAL\n2-5 years of experience in a QA or software testing role, covering both manual and automated testing.\nHands-on experience with test automation using Selenium.\nExperience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.\nStrong understanding of the differences between and benefits of UI, API, integration and unit testing.\nExperience writing user stories, bugs, tasks and test cases in Azure DevOps or similar tools (Jira, etc.).\nPractical experience in functional testing, browser compatibility testing, device testing, smoke testing, integration testing and regression testing.\nExperience working in agile teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.\nAble to create test strategies, plans and tests that can be clearly communicated to developers and stakeholders.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable adjusting style for technical and non-technical audiences.\nSelf-directed and able to manage your own day-to-day activities with minimal supervision.\nDESIRABLE\nKnowledge of WCAG 2.0 accessibility testing standards.\nExperience with performance testing and load testing tools.\nExposure to security testing or penetration testing fundamentals.\nUnderstanding of configuration management and deployment pipelines.\nPrevious programming experience (any language) - enough to read, understand and contribute to test code confidently.\nExperience working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and how automated tests integrate into build and deployment processes.\nLOGISTICS\nEducation: We value skills and experience over formal qualifications.\nStart date: Flexible.\nBenefits\nWHAT WE OFFER\nCompetitive package depending on experience\nPotential share options\nProfessional development including conference attendance and CPD support\nThe opportunity to own quality across a platform that is scaling rapidly and serving hundreds of organisations\nExposure to cutting-edge AI, voice and automation technologies\nHOW WE ARE DIFFERENT\nAt QuantumLoopAI, you will join a team that is building AI-powered products used by hundreds of organisations across the UK.
