The company’s next-generation batteries are designed to enable greater energy density, faster charging and enhanced safety to support the transition away from legacy energy sources toward a lower carbon future.\nJob Description:\nDevelop, optimize, and coordinate production processes. \nDrive continuous improvement activities towards increasing production volume, yield, and performance. \nApply lean manufacturing principles when creating process flows and determining production line configuration, while adhering to safety guidelines. \nDesign tests utilizing moderately complex hardware, collecting data, analyzing, and generating reports towards root cause analysis of engineering challenges. \nLead activities to improve critical-to-quality (CTQ) metrics, manufacturing uptime, and equipment reliability metrics. \nApply statistical analysis skills to increase product reliability and production yield. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new moderately complex processes into production. \nCompile reports, standard operating procedures, process flow charts, and process specifications. \nTrain other team members and ensure training compliance.\nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. \n2 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, product development, quality engineering, battery manufacturing, or a combination thereof.\nEmployer will accept a Master’s degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 2 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, product development, quality engineering, battery manufacturing, or a combination thereof.\nWork experience to include: (1) 2 years of experience (or any experience with a Master’s degree) with manufacturing processes. (2) 1 year of experience (or any experience with a Master’s degree) with manufacturing scale-up and new process introduction. (3) 1 year of experience (or any experience with a Master’s degree)with process engineering fundamentals, including SPC (Statistical Process Control), DOE (Design of Experiments), data analysis, and data acquisition.(4) 1 year of experience (or any experience with a Master’s degree)working in a product manufacturing environment. (5) 1 year of experience (or any experience with a Master’s degree)with electrochemistry, ceramics, or batteries.
