That’s where you come in!\nWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MES & Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), semiconductor equipment automation, SECS/GEM communication, factory automation, and equipment integration.\nYou will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and support of MES and automation solutions for semiconductor manufacturing equipment and factory systems.\nYou will work closely with IT, Engineering, Production, and other stakeholders to ensure manufacturing equipment and systems are effectively integrated, digitally controlled, traceable, and capable of supporting reliable manufacturing operations.\nWhat you will be doing:\nMES Engineering\nUnderstand and manage MES Master Data structures and associated manufacturing workflows.\n\nCreate and maintain MES process flows and routing configurations.\n\nConfigure and manage Constraint Management and Dispatch Management functions.\n\nSupport Special Engineering and Design of Experiments (DOE) functionality.\n\nDeliver MES solutions throughout the complete project lifecycle, including design, development, configuration, testing, deployment, and support.\n\nSupport integration between MES and manufacturing equipment, databases, and other factory systems.\n\nTroubleshoot MES issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement continuous improvements.\n\nEquipment Automation & SECS/GEM\nDevelop and maintain SECS/GEM communication interfaces for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.\n\nBuild and customise SECS/GEM templates.\n\nPerform equipment/tool characterisation and automation validation.\n\nDevelop and implement custom automation interlocks, including for equipment with limited VIDs.\n\nConduct automation simulation, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment.\n\nSupport semiconductor equipment integration and factory automation projects.\n\nSupport equipment connectivity and communication using SECS-I, HSMS, and SECS/GEM standards.\n\nManufacturing Systems Integration\nIntegrate MES, automation, semiconductor equipment, and factory systems to enable reliable manufacturing execution.\n\nCoordinate with Automation, IT, Production, Engineering, and equipment stakeholders to deliver integrated manufacturing solutions.\n\nSupport interfaces with ERP, SCADA, PLC, Historian, and other Manufacturing IT systems.\n\nDevelop and support APIs, web services, and enterprise system integrations.\n\nSupport Industry 4.0, Digital Manufacturing, and Smart Factory initiatives.\n\nProject Execution & Support\nManage technical deliverables, project timelines, risks, testing, deployment, and documentation.\n\nSupport multiple MES and automation projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and delivery schedules.\n\nPrepare technical documentation, specifications, test plans, validation records, and test reports.\n\nPerform system and equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.\n\nSupport deployment and production ramp-up of new manufacturing systems and automation solutions.\n\nRequired Technical Skills\nStrong experience in MES architecture, manufacturing processes, and system integration.\n\nHands-on experience with MES Master Data, Flow Creation, Constraint Management, Dispatch Management, and DOE.\n\nHands-on experience with SECS-I, HSMS, and SECS/GEM.\n\nSemiconductor Equipment Automation and Factory Automation.\n\nSemiconductor equipment and tool integration.\n\nEquipment characterisation, automation simulation, testing, and validation.\n\nCustom automation and interlock development.\n\nKnowledge of database concepts and system interfaces.\n\nExperience with APIs, web services, and enterprise integrations.\n\nExperience with C++, C#, .NET, Java, Python, JavaScript, and/or modern software development technologies.\n\nExperience with Oracle/SQL databases and object-oriented programming.\n\nYour Profile\nMinimum 5 years of relevant MES, Automation, Manufacturing Systems, or related engineering experience.\n\nMinimum 3 years of hands-on experience in SECS/GEM development, template creation, equipment automation, or semiconductor equipment integration.\n\nDemonstrated experience delivering MES or automation projects from design through deployment and production support.\n\nExperience working with multiple equipment types, manufacturing systems, or automation platforms.\n\nDon't tick every box?
