This position monitors, operates, and assists others in the use of computer hardware, software, and peripherals. Utilizes computer equipment, software, and diagnostic tools to perform a broad range of technical support, equipment maintenance and repair, and computer operations tasks.\nEssential Job Functions:\nProvides assistance in the use of personal computer hardware, software, and related technologies, including operation within a multi platform computer environment. \nCoordinates and supports web based projects in collaboration with tribal departments. \nInstalls, terminates, and maintains network cabling and connections.\nSets up and configures desktop computers, peripherals, and user accounts, including assignment of appropriate security levels. \nInstalls, maintains, and repairs computer hardware and software. \nTroubleshoots and diagnoses technical issues; implements corrective actions within established guidelines and escalates issues to advanced technical resources as needed.\nMaintains systems, databases, and web pages. \nTransfers computer files between platforms. \nProvides basic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for computer equipment, including microcomputers, disk drives, and printers. \nAssists in diagnosing hardware versus software issues on networked systems.\nAssists with data storage validation and system integrity. \nAssists with the procurement, installation, and implementation of new servers and technology. \nAssists with systems development projects and upgrades.\nProvides user level technical support for computers, printers, and related equipment.\nPerforms all other duties as assigned.\nNon essential Job Functions:\nPerforms minor maintenance of office equipment as required.\nQualifications\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nAbility to demonstrate thorough knowledge of personal computer hardware and software.\nAbility to demonstrate excellent working knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email applications, and mailing list systems.\nAbility to demonstrate familiarity with inventory systems and programs.\nDemonstrated discretion in maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately. \nExercises tact, courtesy, and sound judgment in daily interactions. \nStrong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment.\nDemonstrates strong attention to detail.\nMust maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing and qualify under the Quapaw Nation Motor Vehicle Policy.\nExperience / Education :\nMinimum of six (6) months to two (2) years of related experience providing technology support in an office or professional environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. \nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university preferred; or equivalent education and experience in a computer science or information technology field.\nPhysical Abilities :\nMust be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time. \nAbility to regularly reach above shoulder level. \nAbility to push, pull, and lift up to and including thirty (30) pounds without physical discomfort or pain.\nMust be willing to travel occasionally to attend trainings, seminars, or professional development events.\nWorking Conditions:\nWork is performed primarily in an office environment.
