You'll gain exposure to the full creative process while contributing to projects that have a meaningful impact across the organization.\nResponsibilities may include:\nDesigning and updating print and digital marketing materials \nCreating visual assets that align with established brand standards \nAssisting with advertising and promotional campaigns \nCreating and maintaining icons and graphics within Quartz's design library \nEditing, licensing, and preparing stock photography and digital assets \nSupporting internal and external communications initiatives \nCollaborating with designers, marketers, and business partners on a variety of creative projects \nParticipating in creative reviews and contributing ideas to project discussions \nExamples of projects may include:\nBillboards and advertising materials \nNetwork maps and visual communication pieces \nCustom icon creation and library management \nStock photo selection, licensing, and editing \nMarketing collateral for print and digital channels \nWhat You'll Learn\nDuring this internship, you'll have the opportunity to:\nApply graphic design principles in a professional business environment \nStrengthen your skills using Adobe Creative Suite applications \nGain experience working within established brand standards and guidelines \nManage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative setting \nDevelop communication and presentation skills through cross-functional teamwork \nBuild professional portfolio pieces through meaningful project work \nLearn how creative teams support broader business and marketing objectives \nQualifications\nTo be considered for this opportunity, candidates must:\n Provide a link to their design portfolio on their résumé \nDemonstrate an interest in Marketing, Brand Development, and/or Graphic Design as a possible career path \nHave hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite products (Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator)\nHave successfully completed at least one college-level course in Graphic Design or Design Fundamentals \nBe available to work 40 hours per week from June to August 2027 \nGraduate between December 2027 and May 2028 \nLive within a 3-hour radius of Madison, WI and be willing to travel to headquarters from June to August \nAttend the summer intern program kickoff and retreat (June 1-4, 2027), and final intern presentation (Late July/Early August) \nBe authorized to work for any employer in the United States without requiring work visa sponsorship from Quartz, now or in the future \nHardware and equipment will be provided by the company, but candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home.\nWe offer an excellent benefit and compensation package, opportunity for career advancement and a professional culture built on the foundations of Respect, Responsibility, Resourcefulness and Relationships.
