The ideal candidate will be a native Spanish speaker with exceptional bilingual skills in English and Spanish, possessing a strong background in translation, educational content creation, and a passion for making learning accessible and enjoyable.\nKey Responsibilities:\nTranslate QuaverEd curriculum and resources from English to Spanish while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and quality.\nEdit, proofread, and revise translations based on feedback to ensure consistency and clarity in neutral Latin-American Spanish.\nReview Spanish resources for the QuaverEd website, including educational activities, ensuring they are age-appropriate and culturally relevant.\nResearch to effectively communicate ideas and information in Spanish, tailored to the target audience.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including writers, musicians, teachers, software developers, audio engineers, and graphic artists to ensure cohesive and effective content delivery.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree or above in Spanish or Translation.\nProven experience in copyediting content in English and Spanish, with a strong understanding of educational terminology.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.\nKnowledge of neutral Latin-American Spanish and regional variations.\nStrong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.\nProficiency in research methodologies related to translation and educational content development.\nProficiency in Google Apps G Suite or Microsoft Office.\nKnowledge of task management software programs such as Asana is a plus.\nAdditional Information:\n Location: Middle Tennessee (must move here within 90 days).\n Application Requirements: Resume, three references, and a cover letter in both English and Spanish (with the heading “Spanish Copy Editor Found”). \n Task: Please choose a paragraph from an English text (related to education or a literary piece) and translate it into Spanish. \n Portfolio or samples of previous work, particularly in educational content, if available.\n\nThe role is not a remote work position. All employees must live within commuting distance of Music Row in Nashville. We are currently requiring all team members to work at minimum 3 days a week in the office on the QuaverEd campus and allowing 2 days remote.
