You will own AI services used across the firm and help shape how AI capabilities are delivered to researchers and engineers.\nYour future role within QRT:\nAI Platform Development\nDevelop and maintain internal AI services and APIs\nBuild and improve RAG pipelines, including document ingestion, embeddings, retrieval, and relevance optimisation\nManage vector database performance, scalability, and data freshness\nDesign clear, well-documented APIs for internal users\nSupport agentic workflows and the services they depend on\nPlatform Reliability & Quality\nIntegrate model serving endpoints into application-layer services\nDefine and monitor service objectives around latency, reliability, and retrieval quality\nImplement prompt management, versioning, evaluation, and testing frameworks\nBuild resilient systems with fallback and degradation mechanisms\nOperations & Observability\nImplement monitoring, tracing, logging, and quality metrics across AI services\nManage service lifecycle activities, including deployment, rollout, versioning, and deprecation\nParticipate in operational support and incident response\nYour present skillset:\n4+ years of experience in software or platform engineering, with exposure to AI/ML or LLM-based applications\nStrong Kubernetes experience and familiarity with containerised environments\nGood knowledge of AWS, networking fundamentals, IAM, and cloud infrastructure\nHands-on experience building and operating production RAG systems\nExperience with vector databases and retrieval systems\nStrong Python skills and experience building production APIs and services\nUnderstanding of LLM fundamentals, including prompting, context management, token constraints, and output reliability\nStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams\nNice to Have\nExperience with agentic AI systems and workflow orchestration\nFamiliarity with LLM evaluation frameworks and quality measurement\nExposure to model serving platforms and inference optimisation\nUnderstanding of embedding model trade-offs and retrieval performance\nExperience with data engineering or AI-related data pipelines\nAWS or Kubernetes certifications\nQRT is an equal opportunity employer.
