The team works closely with Quantitative Researchers, Traders, and infrastructure, application teams to ensure reliable, high-performance connectivity across compute and storage platforms. \nWhat You'll Do\nWe are seeking an experienced network engineer to join our AWS Cloud Engineering team to support the continued growth and maturation of our global cloud network. \nYou will: \nDesign, develop and evolve QRT’s complex global AWS network architecture, with a focus on scalability, resilience, security and performance. \nSupport connectivity across compute, storage and cloud platforms \nUse infrastructure as code and software-engineering practices to deliver consistent, repeatable and auditable network changes at scale. \nExplore, evaluate and onboard new AWS networking services and features as part of the continuous improvement of the platform. \nContribute to the ongoing development of network architecture standards, design patterns, governance, observability and resilience. \nAct as an engineering escalation point for complex connectivity and performance issues across cloud and traditional network domains. \nStay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to evolve network infrastructure \nWhat We're Looking For\nYou will have: \nAt least five years of experience in cloud or network engineering, including strong hands-on experience with AWS networking in production environments. \nGood knowledge of AWS networking services, including VPC, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, Direct Connect and Route 53. \nNetwork security concepts, services and platforms, including segmentation, firewalls, AWS Shield and AWS WAF. \nA solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including IPv4 subnetting, TCP/IP, ARP, VLANs, routing and switching, NAT, BGP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S and TLS. \nDemonstrable experience with infrastructure as code and programming or scripting, ideally using Terraform and Python. \nExperience troubleshooting on AWS, such as VPC Flow Logs, Reachability Analyzer, CloudWatch and Traffic Mirroring. \nBe comfortable getting hands-on with smaller engineering tasks as well as larger strategic projects \nBe a highly collaborative team player who takes ownership of complex problems and major project deliverables, communicating clearly and working across teams to drive successful outcomes \nDesirable experience \nExperience in, or a willingness to learn, the following areas would be beneficial: \nNewer AWS networking technologies, including AWS Cloud WAN, Route 53 Profiles and VPC Lattice. \nIP address management platforms such as Amazon VPC IP Address Manager or Infoblox. \nTraditional enterprise and datacentre networking technologies, including dynamic routing, resilient network design, EVPN/VXLAN and network overlays. \nIPv6 architecture and deployment on AWS and in hybrid environments. \nQRT is an equal opportunity employer.
