Working closely with engineers and business users, you will support database operations and translate business requirements into practical database solutions, with a primary focus on PostgreSQL.\nYour Future Role within QRT\n You will...\nAdminister, maintain and secure PostgreSQL databases across on-premises and cloud environments.\nMonitor database health, troubleshoot issues and improve performance and availability.\nMaintain and test backup, recovery and disaster recovery procedures.\nSupport database design, high availability, capacity planning and upgrades.\nManage database access and permissions in line with security requirements.\nWork with engineers and business users to understand data requirements and resolve database issues.\nAutomate routine administration tasks and maintain clear operational documentation.\nYour Present Skillset\nAt least five years of production PostgreSQL administration experience across on-premises and cloud environments.\nWorking knowledge of database monitoring, performance tuning, high availability and disaster recovery.\nFamiliarity with UNIX/Linux environments.\nExperience using SQL and database procedural languages to develop and maintain database solutions.\nExperience managing database security, access controls and permissions.\nScripting and automation skills using tools such as Python, Shell, PowerShell or Ansible.\nFamiliarity with additional database platforms such as SQL Server, ClickHouse or Snowflake.\nA structured, proactive approach to troubleshooting, testing and documentation.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with attention to detail.\nQRT is an equal opportunity employer.
