The Principal Network Engineer is a senior individual contributor responsible for deep technical leadership, complex problem-solving and continuous engineering improvement. Working closely with network leadership and engineering teams, you will ensure complex technical problems are resolved effectively, architectural standards are translated into usable engineering practices, and the network becomes increasingly scalable, supportable and resilient without creating individual points of dependency.\nYour future role within QRT:\nLead investigations into complex performance, latency, resilience and operational issues. \nAct as a senior technical escalation point for network teams. \nTurn architecture standards into implementation patterns, automation, validation, documentation and runbooks. \nLead or support complex changes, migrations and technical improvement work. \nEvaluate new technologies and improve existing designs and operating practices. \nImplement effective instrumentation and use operational data to identify problems and improvements. \nMentor engineers and spread knowledge across the function. \nYour Present Skillset:\nDeep hands-on experience designing, operating and troubleshooting complex networks. \nStrong knowledge of WAN, data-centre networking, BGP, multicast, and ultra low-latency environments. \nStrong packet-analysis, telemetry and structured troubleshooting skills. \nStrong knowledge of financial market architectures \nExperience with automation, source-controlled configuration, validation and monitoring. \nKnowledge of FPGA-connected network paths. \nExperience mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions. \n QRT is an equal opportunity employer.
