This team are responsible for our cutting-edge high-performance trading and research infrastructure and are responsible for the development and maintenance across operating system platforms, software development tooling, high-performance computing, high performance networking and large-scale storage systems.\nThe candidate will work directly with our research and trading teams with a primary focus on Linux-based systems. This includes, workload scheduling design and implementation, management of systems at large scale, high performance file system design and operation, software design and life cycle (SDLC), kernel and network performance tuning for low-latency and high-throughput applications instrumentation and telemetry collection.\nYour present skillsets:\nAs a senior engineer, you will partner closely with our research and other infrastructure engineering teams and work in a highly collaborative manner\nYou will have 5+ years of experience in Linux systems administration and platform engineering, with a proven track record of technical leadership\nDeep knowledge of high-performance analysis, tuning and optimisation across Linux kernel tuning, hardware optimisation, network performance and storage performance\nYou will identify, troubleshoot, and resolve high-complexity system issues, optimizing system performance and reliability\nYou will have deep knowledge of DevOps tooling including Terraform/Ansible and be able to demonstrate use of CI/CD technologies such as Gitlab and Jenkins\nYou will stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies, providing strategic insights to optimize our infrastructure and operations, performing POC and presenting results where applicable\nYou will have strong knowledge of Python, Golang or similar programming and scripting languages\nYou will have strong knowledge of Infrastructure metric visualisation using Splunk, Prometheus and Grafana\nYou will have expertise with container technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.\nQRT is an equal opportunity employer.
