You'll operate at the intersection of software engineering, production operations and business workflows, helping keep a fast-moving trading platform running reliably while continuously making it better.\nWhat you'll do:\nOwn production\nTake responsibility for the health, stability and performance of critical trading systems.\nWhen things break, you're one of the people everyone wants in the room.\nWhen things don't break, it's often because of something you built.\nInvestigate the unexplained\nChase down complex incidents that span applications, infrastructure, networks and market connectivity.\nBecome a technical forensic investigator, uncovering root causes that aren't immediately obvious and turning every incident into a learning opportunity.\nEliminate toil\nIf you have to do something twice, you'll probably automate it.\nBuild tools, workflows and self-service capabilities that make systems easier to operate and engineers more productive.\nObsess over reliability\nDesign better monitoring, observability and alerting.\nMeasure what matters.\nReduce noise.\nIncrease signal.\nHelp us understand our systems before they fail rather than after they fail\nUnderstand the business\nOur systems exist to support trading.\nYou'll learn how orders move through the platform, how market data flows, how trading desks operate and why reliability matters to investment performance.\nOptimize everything\nLatency.\nEfficiency.\nDeployments.\nTroubleshooting workflows.\nFeedback loops.\nEngineering productivity.\nNothing is ever \"good enough.\"\nWhat we're looking for\nYou might be a good fit if you:\nEnjoy taking things apart to understand how they work\nAutomatically start troubleshooting when something looks wrong\nFind repetitive work deeply irritating and automate it away\nGet satisfaction from building reliable systems\nPrefer solving root causes instead of treating symptoms\nLove learning new technologies and diving into unfamiliar systems\nCan communicate clearly during high-pressure production events\nWe're more interested in how you think than the exact technologies you've used, but you'll likely have:\nStrong software engineering skills in Python, C++, or another modern programming language\nSolid Linux systems knowledge\nUnderstanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP and multicast\nExperience troubleshooting distributed systems\nFamiliarity with observability, monitoring and automation tooling\nA passion for engineering robust, scalable and operable systems\nPrevious experience in finance or trading is helpful but not required.\nWhy this role is different\nMost companies separate developers, operations engineers and production support teams.
