The systems are being developed from the ground up and we’re looking for exceptional software engineers to join us in creating scalable and performant data platforms to support quantitative research and trading.\nYour future role within QRT:\nGreenfield development in a small and highly collaborative team\nBuilding cloud-native platforms for the distribution and processing of realtime tick data\nArchitecting high throughput distributed systems with significant horizontal scalability\nWorking with researchers and data scientists across QRT\nYour present skillset:\n4 years of software engineering experience\nExperience with distributed realtime systems\nSystems design and architecture\nAbility to write optimised and high throughput code\nCommunication and teamwork, with an interest in building a strong engineering culture\nExperience in these is advantageous but not required:\nCloud-native platforms including Kubernetes\nRealtime platforms including Kafka\nHigh performance python tooling (numpy, numba, c++ and rust interoperability)\nModern data tooling (polars, arrow, flight/grpc)\nC++ or Rust\nMarket data\nSRE and DevOps\nProject leadership and stakeholder management\n\nQRT is an equal opportunity employer.
