You will join a small, experienced team in the greenfield implementation of a bare-metal trading platform.\nYour future role within QRT:\nWhile participating in the team on-call rota, you will have broad and deep responsibility for the system design, deployment, configuration and daily operation of:\n\nThe physical infrastructure, consisting of servers, switches, storage and other specialized hardware platforms\n\nthe trading application environment, built from the artifacts continuously deployed by developers and researchers\n\nThe observability stack for the entire platformThe intent-driven system through which all elements are managed as a single coherent system\n\nYou will be responsible for interfacing with traders, researchers, application developers and other internal teams, as well as external service providers\n\nYou will be comfortable solving complex issues in a critical production environment, applying pragmatic fixes in the moment, which then become engineered solutions\n\nYour Present Skillset:\nBachelors/Masters/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering\n\nStrong problem-solving skills and deep understanding of computer-science fundamentals\n\nHands-on experience at with Linux systems \n\nProven track record designing and delivering scalable systems in production environments\nNice to have: \nExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools \n\nExperience with monitoring and observability tools \n\nDeep understanding of servers, switches and operating systems\n\nExpertise in the synchronization and propagation of ultra-precise timing signals\n\nKnowledge of low-latency systems, trading environments, market data, or exchange protocols\nQRT is an equal opportunity employer.
