a high-performance computing environment. \nYour Future Role within QRT\nMonitor the health, availability and performance of Windows infrastructure and respond proactively to alerts and service degradation.\nProvide 2nd- and 3rd-line operational support for Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware and associated infrastructure services.\nInvestigate and resolve incidents affecting Windows servers, applications and virtual machines, escalating complex engineering issues to the UK platform team where appropriate.\nPerform routine administration, maintenance and approved changes across Windows Server 2022-2025 environments.\nSupport Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, certificate services and Entra ID integration.\nManage server patching, security remediation, capacity and operational lifecycle activities.\nMonitor and troubleshoot server backups, supporting recovery testing and disaster recovery readiness.\nSupport VMware ESXi clusters, virtual machines, storage connectivity and related infrastructure.\nUse tools such as Splunk and other monitoring or SIEM platforms to investigate infrastructure, security and application issues.\nSupport regional components of Citrix DaaS, Azure, Microsoft 365 and Intune services.\nUse PowerShell and existing automation tooling to improve operational efficiency and reduce repetitive tasks.\nCarry out infrastructure checks, operational validation and post-change monitoring for changes delivered by the UK engineering team.\nCoordinate with application, network, security and service teams to resolve cross-functional incidents.\nMaintain operational documentation, support procedures, knowledge articles and infrastructure records.\nIdentify recurring problems and work with the engineering team on permanent fixes and service improvements.\nContribute operational experience and regional requirements to global infrastructure projects.\nYour present skillset\nStrong hands-on experience supporting Windows Server environments in a large enterprise.\nGood knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and associated troubleshooting.\nStrong PowerShell skills for administration, diagnostics and operational automation.\nExperience supporting Windows patching, security hardening and vulnerability remediation.\nExperience administering VMware ESXi environments and troubleshooting virtual machines.\nExperience with enterprise backup platforms such as Veeam.\nFamiliarity with monitoring, logging and SIEM platforms such as Splunk.\nA good understanding of storage technologies, including SAN and NAS.\nWorking knowledge of Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and Intune.\nExperience supporting Citrix DaaS or other enterprise VDI environments would be beneficial.\nFamiliarity with configuration and infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform would be advantageous.\nA solid understanding of networking, PKI and infrastructure security principles.\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills across servers, desktops, applications and virtual infrastructure.\nThe ability to take ownership of operational issues, prioritise effectively and remain calm during service incidents.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different regions and technical disciplines.\nBase salary range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000 per year. \nQRT Total Compensation includes discretionary performance-based bonuses and a competitive benefits
