This is a key position that connects researchers, engineers, external research institutions, and other stakeholders, helping bridge technology development with commercialization and real-world implementation.\nResponsibilities\nFirst ~6 Months: Researcher / Engineer\nConduct R&D and experiments related to quantum hardware\nDesign and build experimental setups and conduct simulations\nEvaluate and characterize quantum devices\nAcquire and analyze experimental data\nDocument research results and findings\nContribute to academic publications and conference presentations, as well as the creation of intellectual property\nThereafter: R&D Project Manager\nPlan quantum hardware development projects, define milestones, and manage progress\nCoordinate and drive projects involving researchers, engineers, and external research institutions\nPlan and manage R&D budgets, including research equipment, prototyping materials, and external development costs\nPlan, manage progress, and oversee deliverables for government- and public-sector-funded R&D projects\nSupport the preparation of grant and subsidy applications, technical reports, deliverables, and audit-related documentation\nCoordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support the commercialization and real-world implementation of research outcomes\nReport project progress to management and support strategic decision-making\nRequired Skills & Experience\nWillingness and ability to relocate to Okinawa, Japan\nAbility to communicate professionally in both Japanese and English\nBasic knowledge of quantum physics, quantum optics, and quantum computing\nResearch or development experience in at least one of the following areas:AMO experiments, lasers, optics, cavity QED, UHV, electronic control, etc.\nMEMS design and microfabrication\nData analysis, simulation, or programming using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools\n\nStrong motivation to drive R&D in collaboration with members across multiple technical domains\nStrong motivation to structure research topics and technical challenges, set goals and plans, and drive projects forward\nPrior experience in project management is not required.
