You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to create advanced digital circuits using high-speed processors, FPGAs, configurable logic, and multiprocessor architectures. \nThis position involves full lifecycle hardware ownership-from requirements and architecture through design, simulation, integration, and test. \nWe are hiring Electrical Engineers at various levels!\nLocation: Onsite Tucson, AZ. Relocation assistance is available\nCitizenship: Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required. \nClearance: Active DoD Security Clearance \nWhat you will be doing: \nDesign, analyze, simulate, test, and integrate digital electronic modules and circuit card assemblies (CCAs) for missile applications. \nDevelop complex hardware designs incorporating processors, FPGAs, memory devices, and high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART. \nPerform requirements creation and analysis, parts selection, and system-level trade studies. \nCreate system architectures and block diagrams. \nConduct schematic capture and support PCB layout development, including applying design constraints and performing signal/power integrity analysis. \nExecute lab bring-up, hardware checkout, integration, and functional verification using test plans and standard lab equipment. \nCollaborate closely in a team-based engineering environment to deliver high-reliability solutions. \n(For senior-level candidates) Lead development efforts from concept through production; provide technical oversight and mentoring. \nQualifications You Must Have: \nExperience levels can be flexible - the combined job covers 2-8+ years of experience\nExperience designing and developing electronics circuit designs and multi-assembly hardware systems. \n8+ years and ability to drive hardware from concept to production \nProficiency with electronic design and simulation tools for schematic creation, PCB layout, and signal/power integrity analysis. \nExperience developing multi-layer PCBs and complex CCAs. \nAbility to perform hands-on lab testing, troubleshooting, and integration.\nPreferred Qualifications: \nBackground in FPGA or embedded software development. \nExperience designing within high-reliability or defense-related environments. \nAbility to lead programs or technical teams (for senior-level roles). \nVerification using emulation platforms such as Veloce. \nThe QDSS Advantage: \nAt QDSS, our advantage is purpose-driven work, collaborative teams, and complex challenges that push boundaries and build lasting impact.
