Join us and bring your skills to work where innovation meets impact. \nQuest Defense Systems and Solutions is actively hiring Embedded Software Engineer - Tool Qualification to lead airborne software tool qualification activities, including test environment setup, Run-For-Score execution, and development of DO-330 qualification packages. This role supports internal and regulatory reviews to ensure compliance with RTCA/DO-178 certification standards while providing technical leadership and mentoring within the team. \nLocation: Remote\nCitizenship: Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required\n In this Role, you will:\nWork with software tool vendor(s) to set up target and host test environments\nExecute Run-For-Score\nDevelop DO-330 qualification package\nSupport tool qualification through internal TCR review and regulatory review\nRequired Qualifications\n8+ years of relevant experience inDO-330 tool qualification, preferably with RapiTest and/or RapiCover\nAirborne Software development/testing experience\n\nExperience leading and deploying Program strategies and initiatives\nRTCA/DO-178 (or similar) certification-based experience\nExperience mentoring junior members within a team\nKnowledge in AGILE/Waterfall methods\nProgramming Language experience: C/C++, Python, HTML, Javascript, CSS, Ada 95 etc.\nKnowledge of Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, LynxOS, etc.\nExperience with Tools/Processes: GitLab, SVN, Bamboo/Panda, Jira, JAMA, Confluence, DOORS, etc. \nThe QDSS Advantage: \nAt QDSS, our advantage is purpose-driven work, collaborative teams, and complex challenges that push boundaries and build lasting impact.
