The ideal candidate has a strong professional presence, is tenacious, and has ability to adapt, organize and multi-task.\nBenefits\nEligible for performance-based incentives in addition to base salary\nSafe Harbor 401k with 5% Employer Match\nPTO and Holiday Pay, including Floating Holiday\nInsurance Benefits including Medical (with HSA and FSA options), Dental, Vision, Life & Disability\nEssential Functions of the General Manager position:\nOverall management of all local Operations staff. \nEnsure branch adherence to Operational Guidelines. \nFulfill duties of Operations Manager when they are absent. \nConduct weekly branch meetings with branch sales and service staff to drive branch performance and promote teamwork. \nCollaborate with business development managers to enhance branch sales performance. \nMinimize controllable costs, such as supplies, shipping, fuel, etc. \nManage labor hours for efficiency, safety, and government compliance. \nPrevent and resolve customer service issues/complaints with specific focus on retention. \nMaking routine goodwill jobsite visits to validate customer expectations are being met. \nManage hiring, training and development of all branch employees with a focus on state and federal compliance\nEnsure branch environmental, health and safety compliance. \nEnsure all training and record- keeping documentation are kept up to date. \nImplement and maintain operating guidelines and procedures (SOPs), ensuring all key management controls are in place. \nUnderstand assigned markets budgets and works to meet or exceed monthly revenue and EBITDA goals\nRequirements\nSkills and Abilities:\n2+ years of successfully managing a team within the events, hospitality, or related industries \nDegree or secondary education preferred\nDemonstrate working knowledge of the Tradeshow, Events, Hospitality, Audio Visual, and Convention Industries.\nStrong understanding of sales process and ability to collaborate successfully with the sales team\nExhibit understanding of a Profit and Loss statement\nWorking knowledge of DOT/Fleet compliance\nExperience effectively managing and motivating others with ability to recognize development opportunities \nUnderstand the importance of coaching, training and disciplinary action when needed \nInterviewing and employee selection skills \nHigh level of computer proficiency. \nIssue resolution, negotiating and problem-solving skills with regards to customers and employees \nAbility to adapt to and maintain a varying schedule and be on call or work weekends, evenings, and holidays, as needed\nProficient written and oral communication skills\nRecognize the importance of environmental, health, and safety\nExceptional time management, organization, and attention to detail\nMust be able to speak, write, and understand English fluently\nPossess a valid drivers license and submit to an annual driving record review. This position is required to pass a DOT physical.
