Lead engineers also guide technical decisions and mentor the team.\n\nWork Experience\n\nMust Have Skills\n\nStrong Swift and/or Objective-C experience, with the ability to maintain both languages in an existing macOS codebase.\n\nPractical C++/Objective-C++ integration skills, including bridging headers, ARC and memory ownership across language boundaries.\n\nUnderstanding of macOS architecture, launchd, LaunchDaemons/LaunchAgents, permissions, entitlements and privilege separation.\n\nExperience with Unix-domain socket IPC; familiarity with XPC, GCD, queues, synchronization and multithreading.\n\nExperience with system telemetry, scheduling, aggregation and reliable delivery; Core Data or comparable persistence, schema migrations, JSON and versioned data contracts.\n\nNetworking knowledge covering HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, certificates, proxies, timeouts, retries and reconnects; secure credential storage using Keychain Services.\n\nStrong diagnostics using Xcode, LLDB, Unified Logging, crash reports and Instruments; ability to investigate crashes, leaks and excessive CPU or battery usage.\n\nExperience with unit and integration testing, Xcode projects/workspaces, xcode build and dependency management such as CocoaPods.\n\nUnderstanding of Apple silicon/Intel compatibility, arm64/x86_64 builds, Rosetta and macOS-version differences; sound secure coding, design and communication skills.\n\nNice To Have Skills\n\nAWS IoT Core, MQTT, Kinesis, S3 or similar cloud telemetry services; cross-platform endpoint agents and shared C++ components.\n\nIOKit, SystemConfiguration, CoreWLAN, system extensions, DriverKit, Endpoint Security or Network Extension, as relevant to the use case.\n\nMDM, configuration profiles, PPPC/TCC permissions, managed enrollment and bootstrap-token workflows.\n\nCode signing, hardened runtime, notarization, .pkg installers, secure self-update and release automation.\n\nControlled script/job remediation, including root/user execution, timeouts, cancellation and result verification.\n\nSwiftUI/AppKit, Safari/browser extensions or native messaging;
