Queue was founded by Nick Desai (6x founder, previously CEO of Heal) and Joshua Liu (previously Tesla, Waymo, and Zipline).\nAbout the Role\nAs Technician Lead, you'll be the hands-on anchor of our build floor, leading a small team of technicians through the assembly, integration, troubleshooting, and testing of complex electromechanical robotic systems. You'll work side by side with design and manufacturing engineers to build prototype and pilot-production units, execute test protocols, and create the build documentation that carries our product from prototype to production at scale.\nWhat makes this role extraordinary:\nDirect impact on millions of patients through breakthrough pharmacy automation. The machines you and your team build will dispense medication to real patients, with the opportunity to set the quality bar and build the technician team from the ground up as we scale nationwide.\nLead the Technician Team\nLead, schedule, and mentor a small team of assembly and test technicians; assign daily work and monitor output against build schedules\n\nTrain technicians on assembly best practices, tooling, fixtures, and quality standards\n\nServe as first point of contact for issues that arise during builds, escalating to engineering with clear, data-backed reports\n\nMaintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked lab and build area\n\nBe a champion of company safety practices\n\nMechanical & Electromechanical Assembly\nAssemble precision mechanical and electromechanical subassemblies, mechanisms, actuators, wire harnesses, and sensor packages to pharmaceutical-grade quality standards\n\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, 3D CAD, schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and tolerances to execute builds accurately\n\nUse hand tools, torque tools, presses, custom fixtures, and semi-automated equipment for repeatable, high-quality assembly\n\nBuild and modify electrical PCB assemblies with the ability to rework surface-mount and through-hole components\n\nUse benchtop equipment like power supplies, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers to follow basic electrical work instructions for PCBA bring-up and test\n\nInspect incoming parts for defects and confirm part availability ahead of builds\n\nTroubleshooting & Test Execution\nTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical issues during assembly and bring-up; partner with engineers to root-cause and resolve them\n\nExecute test plans and validation protocols on subassemblies and full systems; adapt procedures where specifications are still being defined\n\nBuild and maintain assembly jigs, test fixtures, and validation setups\n\nRecord, analyze, and communicate test results; provide detailed written and verbal status updates to engineering and leadership\n\nBuild Documentation & Process\nCreate, red-line, and maintain assembly work instructions, SOPs, travelers, and test procedures\n\nDocument issues, deviations, and improvements discovered during builds and feed them back into design and process\n\nSupport the transition from prototype builds to repeatable pilot production, including DFx feedback to engineering\n\nHelp establish quality checkpoints and build-record discipline as we scale toward volume production\n\nRequired Qualifications and Experiences\nWe don't care about your degrees.
