The position is within our Corporate Division, reporting directly to the VP, Quilt Assistant Controller. We need an ambitious finance leader with experience in a high-tech fast-paced environment who enjoys simplifying complex issues and processes. You will have the freedom to create and grow professionally and make an immediate impact.\nThe Accounting Manager will provide a broad spectrum of accounting support for a fast-growing, global SaaS technology company, including billing, revenue recognition, cash management, general accounting, payroll, sales taxes, and monthly closing/reporting activities. The role offers a multi-faceted experience with full visibility of the organization and broad exposure across the accounting function, along with opportunities for cross-functional collaboration and exposure to senior leadership across the entire Quilt business. As part of a lean team, this role will have meaningful ownership, work closely with experienced accounting leaders, and contribute to the development of scalable accounting processes as Quilt continues to grow. The ideal candidate is a naturally curious, ambitious self-starter who enjoys solving accounting challenges and is highly motivated to learn and grow within a fast-paced organization.\nResponsibilities:\nOverall ERP Management of Netsuite and all financial systems\nPreparing and consolidating Corporate and Divisional Financial Statements\nOwn key portions of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes while continuously identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, and ensuring an accurate and timely close\nCoordinate with external auditors (Grant Thornton)\nContribute to acquisition accounting, purchase accounting, and post-acquisition integrations from add-on acquisitions\nHelp strengthen internal controls and build accounting processes that scale with the org.\nMonthly revenue recognition processes in accordance with Revenue recognition (ASC606) and oversight of AR and Deferred Revenue accounts.\nTreasury duties including daily cash management, forecasting, payables\nIntercompany and related party transactions\nLeases and Rent- Deferred Rent and lease commitments (ASC842)\nInventory and hardware accounting, including costing, valuation, and reconciliation and hardware accounting, including costing, valuation, and reconciliation\nProfessional fees, compensation, and other accruals \nAdvise on payment processing across multiple platforms including third party payment processors \nPrepare monthly financial statement fluctuation analysis for review\nSupport the financial planning and analytics group with Budgeting and Forecasting\nRespond to customer, partner and internal business requests for detail information and other analyses, working across functions to research inquiries\nAssist with special projects assigned as requested by internal and external parties\nRecommend and build process improvements and automation initiatives, including ERP enhancements and AI-enabled workflows\nPartner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and leadership.\nRequirements\nPosition Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting\nApproximately 2-4 years of public accounting experience, preferably with a national accounting firm\nCPA preferred\nStrong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles\nExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\nExperience in software industry, ideally software as a service (SaaS) experience and understanding of related finance and accounting issues preferred\nExposure to SEC reporting or public company audits preferred\nInterest in AI capabilities preferred\nKey Characteristics:\nDeadline driven\nHighly organized and detail oriented\nExceptional analytical and problem-solving skills \nStrong time management skills\nSelf-motivated\nStrong communication skills and proactively work with other employees of organization\nAbility to present ideas and work logically and clearly\nAdvanced Excel and general computer skills; Financial systems experience highly preferred\nBenefits\nWhat We Offer\nComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage. \n401 (k) Opportunity with Company Match \nOpportunities for career growth and advancement within a rapidly growing company. \nFun and collaborative work environment with a focus on teamwork and innovation. \nCompensation: $95k - $125k Base + Bonus\nLocation: Hybrid, based in NYC, 1x-2x per week in the Office\nSupervisory responsibilities: None\nNotice: Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time\nNotice - Employment Scams\nCommunication from our team regarding job opportunities will only be made by a Quilt Software employee with an @quiltsoftware.com email address.
