After 9 months, the schedule moves to a standard 5-day week.\n\nApplications with less than 3 years of professional Java experience will not be considered.\n\n━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━\n\nTHE ROLE\n\nWe're looking for a Java backend engineer who thinks in systems, not just code. You'll own architecture decisions on the core services behind a distributed graph memory platform: graph storage, streaming ingestion, ETL pipelines and semantic retrieval at scale. We expect you to reason about trade-offs and failure modes before you write a line of code.\n\n━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━\n\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\n\n- Build and evolve Spring Boot microservices at the core of the platform\n- Own architecture decisions: service boundaries, data flow, failure handling and how the platform scales\n- Design security and access control: authentication, authorization, multi-tenant data isolation and secrets management\n- Build event-driven, Kafka-based pipelines with backpressure-aware stream processing and actor-model concurrency\n- Build and operate ETL and ingestion workflows across heterogeneous data sources\n- Model and query data across graph (Neo4j), distributed SQL (YugabyteDB), vector stores and embedded key-value stores\n- Own features end-to-end: design, build, test, deploy and debug in production using logs, metrics and traces\n- Take part in design reviews and explain your decisions with clear reasoning\n\n━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━\n\nMUST-HAVE\n\n 4–7 years of production experience with Java and Spring Boot\n Strong core Java: collections, concurrency, JVM fundamentals\n Experience designing service boundaries and owning systems beyond single features\n Security in Java apps: OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, role- and attribute-based access control, secure API design\n Production experience with Kafka or a similar event-streaming platform\n Experience building or operating ETL / data pipelines\n Distributed systems fundamentals: consistency, partitioning, idempotency, retries, backpressure, failure handling\n Strong SQL plus experience with at least one NoSQL or graph database\n Available on-site in Hyderabad, 6 days a week for the first 9 months\n\n━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━\n\nSTRONG PLUS\n\n Keycloak, HashiCorp Vault or production IAM integration\n Akka / Apache Pekko (actors, streams, cluster)\n Neo4j, Cypher or graph data modeling\n Distributed SQL (YugabyteDB, CockroachDB, Spanner-class systems)\n Vector databases and semantic search (Milvus, pgvector, etc.)\n Python (FastAPI) for service sidecars\n LLM-integrated systems: prompt pipelines, extraction workflows, RAG\n Jenkins, Docker, containerized deployments on
