It’s safe to say we’re onto something big.\nAbout the role\nWe're looking for a Senior Accountant to help run the books as we scale. You'll own core pieces of month-end close, keep our AP, AR, and payroll accounting clean, and make sure our multi-entity operations reconcile every period without drama.\nThis isn't a narrow, one-task role. You'll touch the full close cycle: journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and the judgment calls that come with a growing, cross-border business. You'll report to our Senior Accounting Manager and work closely with the broader Finance team. If you want ownership over real accounting work and a say in how we build our processes as we scale, we want to hear from you!\nSome of the things you’ll do:\nMonth-End Close & ReportingMaintain key balance sheet schedules, including prepaid assets and fixed assets, and book the related monthly entries\nAssist with variance analysis, explaining P&L and balance sheet fluctuations\nRoll forward and update the monthly financial reporting package (KPIs, headcount, P&L)\n\nAccounts Payable & Vendor ManagementProcess incoming vendor bills for coding accuracy and route them for approval\nReview credit card transactions for correct coding, chase down receipts, and flag ineligible spend\nOnboard new vendors, collect required tax forms, and issue annual tax documents\nFollow up on overdue invoices and resolve payment disputes\n\nPayroll AccountingOwn payroll accounting for our Canada, US, and international teams, spanning employees and contractors\nPrepare and reconcile payroll journal entries each pay run, resolving discrepancies before they hit the books\nHandle country-specific requirements like retirement plan contributions, leave pay, and related government filings\n\nProcess Improvement & Cross-Functional PartnershipIdentify and fix manual, error-prone processes. If a reconciliation takes three hours and could take thirty minutes, we want you to improve that\nPartner with FP&A, People Ops, and other departments to keep financial data accurate and on time\nSupport internal and external audits with clean documentation and clear answers\n\nAbout you\nRequired:\n4+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, including direct ownership of month-end close tasks\nSolid US GAAP knowledge, with hands-on experience in account reconciliations and accruals\nExperience with a modern accounting system (Rillet, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar) and an expense/AP tool (Ramp, Bill.com, or similar)\nComfort with payroll accounting concepts: gross-to-net, benefits accruals, retirement plan contributions\nStrong Excel/Sheets skills. You should be able to build a reconciliation from scratch, not just fill in a template\nStrong communication skills. You'll work with employees and stakeholders across the business who don't have an accounting background, so you need to explain financial concepts and processes in plain language\nStrongly Preferred:\nExperience working across multiple legal entities or currencies\nCPA, CPA-track, or equivalent designation (CPA Canada, ACCA)\nExperience at a high-growth SaaS or subscription business\nPrior audit experience (public accounting background or supporting SOX controls)\nCompensation\nThe annual base salary range for this position in the US is $117,000 - $137,000 USD, and in Canada is $118,000 - $139,000 CAD, plus equity and benefits. This range is designed to align with market rates in areas where we are actively recruiting across the US and Canada.\nThe range displayed reflects the target for new hire salaries, and within this range, individual pay is determined by your skills and experience, as well as relevant education.
