Cassandra) _ Work location - Ukraine\nRole Description :\nAs a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for administration and support of production database systems, primarily MariaDB environments.\nMain responsibilities:\n· Administration and support of MariaDB Galera Cluster and Master-Slave replication\n· Ensuring database availability, stability, and performance\n· Backup, recovery, upgrades, and routine maintenance\n· Monitoring databases using Zabbix and working together with L1/NOC engineers\n· Incident analysis and participation in troubleshooting\nAdditional responsibilities (non-primary):\n· Observing and assisting with Cassandra and Percona XtraDB Cluster\n· Supporting colleagues with database-related questions and tasks\nRequirements\nMust have:\n· 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator\n· Solid understanding of MySQL/MariaDB\n· Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge and database internals expected at this level\n· Experience with Linux and shell scripting\n· Understanding of replication, backups, and performance basics\nNice to have:\n· Hands-on experience with Galera Cluster in production environments\n· Experience with database proxies (MaxScale, ProxySQL, HAProxy)\n· Understanding of high availability and failover mechanisms\n· Experience with performance tuning (indexes, query optimization, configuration tuning)\n· Experience working with large databases and high-load systems\n· Practical knowledge of backup strategies (logical vs physical, PITR)\n· Experience with monitoring and alert tuning (Zabbix triggers, thresholds, false positives)\n· Experience interacting with L1/L2 support teams and handling escalations\n· Basic understanding of NoSQL concepts and Cassandra architecture\n· Experience with Percona XtraDB Cluster is a plus\n· Familiarity with Docker for running databases or related tools\n· Experience with configuration management / automation tools (Ansible preferred)\n· Understanding of change management and planned maintenance procedures\n· Ability to participate in incident post-mortems and root cause analysis (RCA) Tech Stack (brief)\n· Databases: MariaDB, MySQL, Cassandra\n· Clustering
