By delivering robust architectures and clear operational frameworks, you will enable the organisation to scale confidently whilemaintainingreliability and compliance.\nTechnical Expertise\nThe ideal candidate willdemonstraterecent, hands-on experience with leading public cloud platforms, mainlyAmazon Web Services, with a strong command of container orchestration technologieslikeAmazon EKS,GoogleKubernetes Engine,Tanzu KubernetesandRed Hat OpenShift.Proficiencywith infrastructure as code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins CI), and related DevOps tools (Artifactory,HashiCorpVault, Git) is essential. Familiarity with monitoring solutions(Prometheus), database platforms (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra), and collaboration tools (Atlassian stack) is highly valued. While not required, exposure to private cloud and on-premises technologies-such as VMware, virtualization, server, storage and networking infrastructure, Linux-based virtual servers, VMwareESXihosts, disaster recovery using infrastructure as code, and hybrid environments including vSphere, OpenShift, and DataStax Cassandra migration-will be considered an advantage.\nKey Responsibilities\nEngineer and enforce multi-account security boundaries using AWS Organizations, Service Control Policies (SCPs), and complex IAM permission boundaries.\n\nArchitect high-availability hybrid network topologies integrating AWS Direct Connect and Site-to-Site VPNs, with advanced Transit Gateway routing and VPC traffic engineering.\n\nDevelop andmaintainsophisticated Infrastructure as Code libraries using Terraform, including reusable, versioned custommodulesand complex state file management.\n\nDevelop operational runbooks and monitoring frameworks for seamless handover.\n\nDefine and agree on SLOs and SLAs with stakeholders.\n\nIdentifyand document risks and technical debt.\n\nEnsure clear ownership transfer to operationsteamspost-handover.\n\nCollaborate with product, platform, and security teams to align with mature DevOps and SRE models.\n\nAdvanced Skills & Differentiators\nDevelop infrastructure automation and glue code using Python or Bash.\n\nManage production-grade Amazon EKS environments, including worker node configuration, control plane upgrades, and VPC networking integration.\n\nDemonstrate operational experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for multi-cloud redundancyand networkingbut alsoworkload migrations.\n\nMaintain hybrid infrastructure environments, combining VMware vSphere operational knowledge with Red Hat OpenShift on Bare Metal.\n\nExperience with Helm for Kubernetes deployments is a plus.\n\nProfessional Attributes\nStrong security mindset and commitment to compliance.\n\nHighly reliable, with a focus on accountability and ownership.\n\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\n\nExcellent communication and documentation skills.\n\nCollaborative approach with cross-functional teams.\n\nFocus on continuous process improvement andoptimizingpersonal workflows.\n\nGeneral technical curiosity and the ability to independently research and source information.\n\nActive maintenance of personal engineering projects or home labs is considered an advantage.\n\nCareer Development\nProgression to more senior roles is possible over time and based ondemonstratedresults and consistent delivery of high-impact outcomes.
