We’re inspired to work with healthcare leaders on our founding vision and unlock world-class medicine through world-class operations.\nAbout the Role\nWe’re looking for an experienced forward-deployed Staff Forward Deployed Engineer, Technology Lead to join our AI Platform Partnership team. In this role, you will lead a five-person team forward-deployed to a client site. In this role, you’ll apply problem solving ability, creativity, and technical skills to drive AI-powered operational transformations at health systems. You’ll partner cross-functionally with Qventus R&D leadership as well as embed with client operational, executive, and IT teams to shape solutions that deliver measurable value.\nThis is a high-impact role that will influence our AI Operational Assistant platform, strengthen customer outcomes, and shape our company’s growth trajectory. \nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop a deep understanding of client context and Qventus capabilities to identify high-leverage opportunities for rapid impact with bespoke AI Operational Assistant workflows\nResponsible for the design, execution, and optimization of bespoke AI Operational Assistant use cases at the client\nTechnical Implementation\nLeverage LLM-based AI (GPT, Claude, Gemini, LLaMA, etc.) to build advanced conversational systems.\nUse agentic frameworks and tools\nApply conversation modeling techniques like state machines, decision trees, and graph-based flows.\nCollaborate with backend teams to integrate bots with APIs, CRMs, and enterprise systems.\nEnhance bot functionality with custom scripts, API calls, and external system integrations.\nOptimization, Testing & Maintenance\nContinuously tune and improve AI agents using real user data.\nMonitor and resolve agent breakdowns, mismatches, and fallback issues.\nDevelop and run unit, regression, and A/B tests to ensure conversational performance.\nImplement real-time monitoring, analytics, and logging to drive performance insights.\nCollaboration & Documentation\nShape client use cases in partnership with the AI Solution Consultant\nCollaborate closely with Qventus architects, engineers, and data scientists, as well as client end-users and IT teams to define and refine product requirements\nWork closely with software engineers and data scientists to refine LLM integration and behavior.\nDocument conversation logic, prompt structures, and decision workflows for scalability and maintainability.\nMentor and support cross-functional teammates across forward-deployed client team\nWhat We’re Looking For\n 5+ years of experience and proven track record in product management or solution architect roles\nStrong communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels\nHands-on experience with with agentic design and prompt engineering + architecture\nStrong coder with demonstrated proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar\nA go-to expert on emerging LLM technologies\nHigh customer empathy and passion for real-world impact and solving meaningful problems\nSelf-starter, confident in troubleshooting complex systems issues independently\nAbility to work with a high level of autonomy and responsibility in a rapidly changing environment with dynamic objectives and iteration with users\nDemonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals, and comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment with dynamic objectives and iteration with users.\nAbility to travel as needed to client sites (expected 25-50%)\nBonus Points For\nExperience with voice-enabled conversational AI systems.\nKnowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation).\nExperience applying knowledge graphs in AI agent workflows.\nPrior experience building AI agents / automated workflows in healthcare or other regulated industries\nBackground in healthcare operations, medicine, and/or healthcare finance\nCompensation for this role is based on market data and takes into account a variety of factors, including location, skills, qualifications, and prior relevant experience.
