For more information, visit QXO.com.\nWhat you will do:\nThe CDL Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional transportation of building materials, construction products, and equipment to customer locations and job sites. This role combines commercial driving responsibilities with hands-on support in loading, unloading, securing, and verifying materials while ensuring compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations and company safety standards. Depending on the business unit, deliveries may include oversized, specialized, or engineered building components. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, customer-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.\nSafe Transportation & Delivery\nSafely transport building materials, products, and equipment to customer locations according to established routes and delivery schedules \nConduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT/FMCSA regulations and company policies \nPlan delivery routes while accounting for traffic, weather, road restrictions, and jobsite accessibility \nMaintain regular communication with dispatch regarding departure, arrival, delays, route changes, and delivery status \nObtain customer signatures, delivery confirmations, and required documentation upon delivery \nRepresent QXO professionally during all customer interactions\nLoading, Securement & Material Handling\nVerify load accuracy and inspect materials prior to departure \nSafely load, secure, and transport materials using proper load securement methods, including straps, chains, binders, and tie-downs as appropriate \nAssist with loading and unloading materials while following safe lifting and material handling practices \nPerform touch-freight duties, including lifting, carrying, and moving products as required \nVerify delivered materials with customers and document discrepancies or damaged products\nCustomer Service\nDeliver exceptional customer service during each delivery \nCommunicate professionally with customers regarding delivery schedules, product questions, and jobsite requirements \nAssist customers with unloading and placement of materials when appropriate \nNotify branch personnel of customer concerns, jobsite issues, or service opportunities\nEquipment & Documentation\nMaintain a clean, safe, and professional company vehicle \nComplete inspection reports, delivery documentation, electronic logs, and mobile application updates accurately and on time \nUtilize GPS, route planning software, mobile applications, and electronic delivery systems effectively \nReport vehicle maintenance concerns, equipment issues, accidents, or safety incidents immediately\nSafety & Compliance\nFollow all DOT/FMCSA regulations and company driving policies \nWear required PPE and maintain safe work practices at all times \nInspect delivery sites to identify hazards and ensure safe loading and unloading conditions \nUse spotters when maneuvering in congested or hazardous areas whenever possible \nAdapt safely to changing weather, road, and jobsite conditions \nPromote a safety-first culture while protecting company assets and customer property \nPerform additional duties as assigned\nWhat you will bring:\nStrong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and safe driving practices \nExcellent customer service and communication skills \nStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety \nAbility to work independently while managing daily delivery schedules \nStrong organizational and time-management skills \nAbility to operate mobile applications, GPS systems, and electronic delivery tools \nMust be 21 years of age or older \n Valid CDL Class A (preferred) or B license in good standing\nMinimum 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred \nExperience operating flatbed trucks, tractor-trailers, manual transmissions, or oversized load vehicles preferred\nForklift experience (Moffett preferred) or ability to operate material handling equipment is a plus \nExperience delivering building materials, construction products, trusses, wall panels, steel, rebar, roofing, or similar products preferred \nClean driving record and ability to meet company driving requirements \nAbility to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background requirements as applicable \nPrimarily field-based with frequent driving throughout assigned service areas \nRegular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, traffic, construction sites, warehouses, and customer facilities \nAbility to frequently sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, and enter or exit commercial vehicles \nAbility to lift, push, pull, and carry materials weighing up to 80 pounds or more using proper lifting techniques \nFrequent use of load securement equipment, mobile technology, and material handling equipment \nMay require overtime, weekend work, overnight travel, or flexible schedules based on operational needs\nWhat you will earn:\nHealth Care Benefits\nPaid Time Off\nBenefits for union-represented roles are determined by the applicable collective bargaining agreement and may differ from standard company benefits.\nQXO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
