For more information, visit QXO.com.\nWhat you will do:\nPreventive Maintenance & Equipment Service\nPerform scheduled preventative maintenance services on construction, rental, and customer-owned equipment \nConduct equipment inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures \nComplete routine maintenance tasks including lubrication, fluid changes, filter replacements, adjustments, and minor repairs \nRecommend corrective actions and maintenance schedules to improve equipment reliability and performance \nTest and verify equipment functionality following maintenance or repair activities \nField Service Operations\nTravel to customer locations and job sites to perform maintenance, inspections, and service work \nDiagnose basic equipment issues and perform minor repairs when appropriate \nCommunicate equipment status, maintenance findings, and repair recommendations to customers and management \nComplete service reports, inspection documentation, and maintenance records accurately and on time \nRepresent the company professionally while providing field support and customer service \nFleet & Service Vehicle Management\nMaintain company service vehicles in a clean, safe, and professional condition \nMonitor vehicle maintenance requirements and complete inspections as required \nMaintain inventory of commonly used parts, tools, and maintenance supplies \nSafeguard company equipment, tools, and materials assigned to the position \nCustomer Service & Communication\nBuild and maintain positive relationships with customers through responsive service and technical support \nCommunicate clearly regarding maintenance schedules, equipment condition, and service recommendations \nRespond professionally to customer questions and service-related concerns \nSupport a customer-first culture focused on reliability and operational excellence \nSafety & Compliance\nFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements \nOperate vehicles, equipment, and tools safely and responsibly \nMaintain compliance with OSHA requirements and company safety standards \nReport accidents, injuries, equipment damage, or unsafe conditions immediately \nMaintain safe work practices in both field and facility environments \nTeam Collaboration\nWork closely with Service Managers, Service Coordinators, Technicians, and Operations personnel to prioritize workload and customer needs \nAssist with in-house maintenance activities when field service demand is low \nSupport special projects and operational initiatives as assigned\nPerform additional duties as assigned\nWhat you will bring:\nStrong mechanical aptitude and preventative maintenance knowledge \nAbility to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation \nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills \nExcellent customer service and communication abilities \nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision \nStrong organizational and time-management skills \nAbility to prioritize multiple service calls and deadlines \nMinimum 1 year of experience working with construction equipment, rental equipment, heavy equipment, fleet maintenance, or related industries \nExperience performing preventative maintenance on construction or industrial equipment \nFamiliarity with hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and diesel-powered equipment \nExperience with service documentation systems and mobile technology \nBasic inventory management and parts tracking experience \nHigh School Diploma or GED \nValid driver's license with acceptable driving record \nAbility to provide and maintain a basic set of mechanical tools \nPrimarily field-based position with travel to customer locations, job sites, and company facilities \nExposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, vibration, moving equipment, and mechanical hazards \nFrequent driving throughout assigned service territory \nAbility to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, and perform physically demanding work \nAbility to safely lift and move materials and equipment up to 75 pounds \nAbility to climb on and off equipment safely \nMay require overtime or extended hours based on customer and operational needs \nWhat you will earn:\nHealth Care Benefits\nPaid Time Off\nBenefits for union-represented roles are determined by the applicable collective bargaining agreement and may differ from standard company benefits.\nQXO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
