In this role, you will lead the accounting function for a designated region, with responsibilities including overseeing the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across multiple operating companies, leading a team dedicated to a specific region, and cultivating relationships with operations at each business. This position plays a critical role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; reviews complex journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations; oversees intercompany accounting and margin elimination activities; and monitors close progress utilizing close management tools. This role serves as a key business partner to regional operational leadership and provides consolidated financial views, analysis, and accounting guidance to support the business. This role also drives process improvements, maintains strong internal controls, and contributes to the quality, consistency, and timeliness of financial reporting.\nWhat you will do:\nLead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for multiple entities, including monitoring close status, coordinating team activities, reviewing deliverables, and proactively addressing risks or delays.\nReview and approve balance sheet reconciliations and accounting transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of reconciling items.\nPerform financial analysis, trend analysis, and P&L fluctuation reviews, providing consolidated financial insights and recommendations to regional and corporate leadership.\nManage intercompany accounting activities, including reconciliation of intercompany balances and preparation of margin elimination entries related to intercompany sales.\nLead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nBuild strong partnerships with finance and operations, serving as a trusted advisor to regional leadership.\nCollaborate with finance and operational leadership in the annual planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.\nEnsure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards; support internal and external audits as needed.\nIdentify, develop, and implement process improvements, accounting policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency, standardization, and the integrity of financial reporting.\nPerform other duties and special projects as assigned.\nWhat you will bring:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required\nMinimum of 7+ years of accounting experience; experience in multi-entity environments strongly preferred\nStrong understanding of accounting theory/GAAP and ability to perform research as necessary.\nMust be detail oriented, have strong analytical skills and be technically minded.\nAbility to meet strict deadlines and prioritize tasks\nStrong research and reconciliation skills required\nRelevant industry experience considered a plus: Manufacturing/Distribution/Construction\nTeam player\nSelf-motivated\nStrong ability to problem solve\nDedicated and committed individual\nWork requires professional written and verbal communication as well as great interpersonal skills.\nCustomer focused (i.e., generating accurate and timely results and effectively and timely communicating to customers, colleagues, and management)\nDesire to lead new process creation and implementation\nWhat you will earn:\n401(k) with employer match \nMedical, dental, and vision insurance \nPTO, company holidays, and parental leave \nPaid training and certifications \nLegal assistance and identity protection \nPet insurance \nEmployee assistance program (EAP) \nQXO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
