Here, collaboration fuels progress, adaptability sparks innovation and every voice can help shape what’s next for R1 and the future of healthcare.\nAs our Director of Process Engineering, Physician Billing, you will partner with physician billing operational leaders to understand their workflows, processes, and pain points, then translate those needs into clear requirements for Product and Engineering. You will work alongside these teams throughout development to ensure the technology meets the needs of physician billing operations and supports successful implementation.\nTo thrive in this role, you must have healthcare revenue cycle experience, operational experience or exposure within physician billing, people-leadership experience, and the ability to independently bridge operational and technical teams.\nHere’s what you will experience working in this role:\nPartner with physician billing operational leadership to understand existing workflows, processes, pain points, and opportunities for improvement. \nTranslate physician billing operational needs into clear, buildable requirements for Product and Engineering. \nHelp adapt R37 technology currently supporting hospital billing workflows to meet physician billing requirements. \nWork alongside Product and Engineering throughout development to ensure solutions make logical business sense and meet operators’ needs. \nLead discovery, process mapping, requirements documentation, testing, validation, and implementation support. \nAnalyze operational data to identify root causes, trends, themes, and opportunities for automation. \nManage and develop team members, providing direction, mentorship, and performance support. \nPresent strategies, requirements, risks, progress updates, and recommended solutions to operational and executive leadership. \nMust be willing to travel up to 25%.\nRequired Skills:\nEight or more years of healthcare operations experience, including revenue cycle management, provider, payer, or vendor experience. \nOperational experience or meaningful exposure within the physician billing space. \nExperience leading and managing associates. \nExperience partnering with Product, Engineering, IT, or other technical teams to develop operational solutions. \nAbility to translate complex operational workflows into clear requirements, process maps, and implementation plans. \nStrong Excel skills and experience using data to identify trends, root causes, and performance opportunities. \nKnowledge of operating systems, payor portals, EHRs, and healthcare revenue cycle workflows. \nAbility to operate independently, proactively identify risks, and lead ambiguous work. \nStrong written, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills. \nDemonstrated technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn new platforms and technical concepts. \nFor this US-based position, the base pay range is $112,718.72 - $187,269.24 per year. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.\nThis position is eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan at a target of 20%. \nFor this US-based position, the base pay range is $117,000.00 - $194,847.37 per year .
