Data engineers sit at the helm of R2 by building the systems that enable new financial opportunities to thousands of small businesses across Latin America.\nWhat you’ll work on:\nDesign and maintain our data pipelines, ELT processes, and data warehouse.\nCreate robust ingestion pipelines across integrations with our partners.\nBuild processes required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.\nMaintain documentation of data architecture and processes.\nImplement data models in the data warehouse that standardize and denormalize data from multiple sources.\nStrive to get everything automated by implementing and maintaining a robust data orchestration system.\nBuild integration components that can be generalized across multiple platforms.\nEnsure data integrity by setting up alerts to know when data fails to update.\nWho you are:\nYou have deep software engineering skills, with extensive experience (5+ years) working in Python.\nYou have experience with ELT patterns, and have worked with appropriate tools such as Airbyte, Fivetran, etc.\nYou are comfortable working with data orchestration systems and data pipeline tools such as Airflow, Astronomer, Dagster, or equivalent.\nYou are an expert in SQL and data modeling with relational databases and data warehouses\nYou have experience implementing data modeling and data transformation jobs with modern tools such as dbt.\nYou are proficient in working with git-based version control.\nYou have experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and existing data processing systems (architecture, reliability, monitoring, and scaling).\nYou have collaborated closely with analysts, data scientists and machine learning engineers as your core “customers”.\nYou are endlessly curious and want to automate everything.\nExperience with cloud data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake or BigQuery)\nExperience working within the AWS
