You will play a key role in delivering strategic data initiatives, building scalable & reliable data pipelines, maintaining governance & security standards, & partnering with stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making across the business.\nYou'll bring strong expertise across the Azure data ecosystem, including Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Storage & Microsoft Fabric, along with solid programming & solution design skills.\nTop Role Responsibilities:\nDesign, build, enhance & support enterprise-scale data platforms on Microsoft Azure\nDeliver high-quality data engineering solutions & project outcomes on time & within scope\nManage platform operations, lifecycle activities & ongoing support\nResolve production incidents & service requests in a timely manner\nEnsure data pipelines & loads meet agreed SLAs\nValidate & reconcile data across source & target systems\nOptimise ETL/ELT processes, performance, & date storage costs\nCollaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, BI Developers & business stakeholders to deliver data-driven outcomes\nTo be successful, you will have:\n5 years’ experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar cloud-based data engineering role\nStrong hands-on experience designing, building, & supporting scalable data pipelines & integration solutions\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, &/or Microsoft Fabric\nAdvanced SQL skills, including data modelling, performance tuning, & database optimisation\nDemonstrated experience developing solutions using Python, PySpark, or Scala\nExperience with data quality, validation, monitoring, troubleshooting, & operational support\nUnderstanding of data governance, security, privacy, & compliance requirements\nExperience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, & Azure DevOps\nStrong analytical & problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify data issues & improvement opportunities.\nExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities & deliver high-quality outcomes\nExcellent written & verbal communication skills\nExperience working within Agile & Scrum delivery environments\nLocation & Working Arrangements:\nThis role must be based in Sydney & offers a flexible hybrid working model with both in office & at home working.\nAs part of the role, you will participate in an on-call roster.\nWhat we're proud to offer you:\nWellbeing leave.
