Within the Conversational AI & CRM domain, we develop the platform that enables intelligent assistants, enterprise workflows, and AI-driven capabilities across the organization.\nAs a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design and build the backend platform that connects AI services, enterprise systems, CRM platforms, and business processes in a secure, scalable, and production-ready way. You will play a key role in shaping the architecture, integrations, engineering standards, and operational excellence of a platform that supports multiple AI assistants and business-critical workflows.\nWhat You'll Do\n· Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET.\n· Develop integrations with enterprise systems, cloud services, and AI platforms.\n· Design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native solutions on Azure.\n· Define and implement infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.\n· Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines.\n· Ensure reliability through testing, monitoring, observability, and operational excellence.\n· Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical direction.\n· Mentor engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices.\n· Design and maintain enterprise integration patterns using API gateways and service-to-service communication models.\n· Build and support integrations with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Genesys, and other enterprise applications.\nRequired Qualifications\n· You have a relevant HBO or university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.\n· 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience with C# and .NET.\n· Experience designing, building, and operating production-grade APIs and distributed systems.\n· Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native application development.\n· Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform, or similar).\n· Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.\n· Strong understanding of software architecture, integration patterns, and system design.\n· Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure software development practices.\n· Experience working within complex enterprise environments.\nPreferred Qualifications\n· Experience with Azure Functions and event-driven architectures.\n· Experience integrating Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, or other generative AI services.\n· Experience with API gateways such as Kong.\n· Experience with Azure networking, private endpoints, and enterprise security patterns.\n· Experience operating systems in regulated environments with sensitive data.\n· Azure certifications such as AZ-204, AZ-104, AZ-400 or AZ-900.\n· Experience contributing across the full technology stack.\n· Experience integrating with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Genesys Cloud, CRM systems, or customer engagement platforms.\n· Experience designing and consuming APIs in enterprise environments using API gateway platforms such as Kong.\n· Familiarity with API provider/consumer architectures and enterprise integration patterns.\nTechnologies\n· C#, .NET 8+, ASP.NET Core\n· Microsoft Azure & Azure Functions\n· REST APIs and Enterprise Integrations\n· Azure OpenAI and AI-enabled platforms\n· Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (Bicep)\n· Authentication and Security (Entra ID, OAuth 2.0)\n· Kong API Gateway\n· Enterprise API Architectures (Provider/Consumer Patterns)\n· Salesforce, Genesys Cloud, and Enterprise CRM Integrations\nTeam & Working Environment\nYou'll join a multidisciplinary team consisting of Backend Engineers, Business Analysts, Prompt Engineers, and AI specialists working together to deliver AI-powered solutions across Rabobank.
