This internship is designed to provide practical experience in technology auditing while developing your analytical, communication, problem-solving, and emerging technology skills.\nJob Responsibilities\nIn this role, you will:\nSupport technology audit projects involving system security, technology controls, cybersecurity, and information security.\nGain exposure to areas such as:Identity & Access Management\nData Protection and Data Leakage Prevention\nEncryption\nSecurity Architecture\nIncident Management\nSecurity Governance\nSecurity Infrastructure\nTechnology programs and implementations\nArtificial Intelligence and emerging technology risks\n\nAssist audit team members with gathering information, documenting processes, and performing audit testing.\nPerform data analysis to help identify trends, exceptions, and potential areas of risk.\nUse AI and automation tools to assist with data analysis, audit testing, research, and other audit activities.\nIdentify repetitive or manual audit activities that may be candidates for automation and help develop or test potential solutions.\nExperiment with new AI-enabled approaches to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Internal Audit activities.\nHelp review technology processes and internal controls under the guidance of experienced auditors.\nCollaborate with business and technology teams to obtain information needed for audit activities.\nAssist with documenting audit results, observations, and supporting materials.\nParticipate in meetings with Internal Audit, technology, cybersecurity, and business teams.\nLearn how audit findings and recommendations are developed and communicated to management.\nContribute to special projects, AI/automation initiatives, and other Internal Audit activities as needed.\nJob Requirements\nRequired Qualifications\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.\nInterest in technology, cybersecurity, AI/automation, risk management, internal audit, or cloud computing.\nBasic understanding of information technology concepts and business processes.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nCuriosity about AI and emerging technologies and a willingness to experiment with new tools and approaches.\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment.\nWillingness to learn new technologies, processes, and audit concepts.\nAbility to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCoursework or academic projects related to cybersecurity, information systems, auditing, accounting, data analytics, AI, automation, or risk management.\nExperience using generative AI tools for research, analysis, problem-solving, or productivity.\nBasic familiarity with Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools.\nExposure to scripting, workflow automation, data visualization, or low-code/no-code tools is a plus but not required.\nExposure to cloud technologies, cybersecurity concepts, or IT controls through coursework, projects, internships, or extracurricular activities.\nInterest in pursuing a career in technology audit, cybersecurity, technology risk, AI/automation, or internal audit.\nNo previous professional audit experience or certifications are required.\nWhat You’ll Gain\nDuring the internship, you will have the opportunity to:\nGain hands-on experience with technology and cybersecurity audits.\nApply AI and automation to real-world audit and risk-management activities.\nHelp identify and develop opportunities to automate traditionally manual audit processes.\nLearn how organizations identify and manage technology and emerging risks.\nDevelop practical experience with audit testing, documentation, and data analysis.\nBuild knowledge of cybersecurity, cloud technology, IT controls, AI, and automation.\nWork with professionals across technology, cybersecurity, finance, and other areas of the business.\nDevelop communication, analytical, technology, and professional skills that can support a future career in IT audit, cybersecurity, technology risk, compliance, AI/automation, or internal audit.\n\nAbout Rackspace Technology\nWe are the multicloud solutions experts.
