External Job Description

PULSE, the joint venture between EDGE and INDRA, is seeking a skilled and driven Radar Systems Engineer to support the design of advanced radar solutions for defense applications.

The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of high-performance radar capabilities, supporting the full engineering lifecycle from modelling and analysis through integration, qualification, and customer technical engagements, while ensuring compliance with stringent defense and industry standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead radar system design activities, covering architecture definition (Pulsed, FMCW, AESA), signal/data processing, and RF and antenna specifications.
Perform system modelling and performance analysis using Matlab/Simulink, Python or radar simulation tools.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical consistency across the radar system and comply with defense engineering standards (MIL-STD).
Execute hardware/software integration, testing and qualification in lab and field environments, using processional RF and measurement equipment.
Support validation campaigns, troubleshoot system issues at all levels, and contribute to documentation, design reviews, and customer-facing technical discussions.

REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of experience in radar system engineering/design.
Proven ability to execute technical tasks within regulated environments.
Hands-on experience with radar test equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes).
Solid background in modelling tools (Matlab/Simulink, Python, ADS, CST).
Strong communication skills and ability to represent the company in technical reviews.
