This is a unique opportunity to learn what it really takes to bring a cutting-edge product to life.\nYour role\nWe're looking for a Mechanical Engineer with 1-2 years of experience who is eager to grow within a dynamic startup environment. You'll support the mechanical development of our motorcycle across a range of tasks, working closely with our senior engineers to design, test, and refine components and assemblies.\nYou'll get broad exposure to the full product development cycle, from concept and detailed design to product validation, and will be encouraged to take ownership of your work from early on.\nYour responsibilities\nSupport the design and optimisation of mechanical components and assemblies.\nAssist in prototype builds, testing, and validation activities.\nContribute to design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) improvements.\nHelp formulate technical documentation and make detailed technical drawings.\nCollaborate closely with suppliers on component development, manufacturing processes and quality.\nPerform engineering calculations and support design reviews.\nWork together with engineers across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines.\nContribute to continuous improvement throughout the development process.\nYour profile\nWe are looking for someone who:\nHas a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.\nHas 1-2 years of professional mechanical design experience.\nHas strong CAD skills, preferably in SolidWorks.\nHas experience working with suppliers and manufacturing partners.\nHas understanding of manufacturing processes such as castings and injection moulding.\nIs comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment where ownership and initiative are valued.\nIs a strong communicator, collaborative, and comfortable working autonomously.\nIs able to communicate effectively in English. Dutch proficiency is a bonus.\nHas the ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines.\nA bonus: passion for motorcycles, motorsport, and/or electric vehicles. A student team background (MotoStudent, Formula Student or comparable) is always nice.\nPracticalities\nThis is a full-time position of 40 hours per week.\nWe are looking for someone who can join as soon as possible.\nThe position is primarily on-site at our office in Hengelo, The Netherlands.
