At Radian, you'll play a defining role in bringing the next generation of high-performance electric motorcycles from prototype to production. Your decisions will directly shape the motorcycles that riders around the world will experience.\nYour role\nWe're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience taking complex mechanical products from prototype to production. You'll be responsible for transforming our current development platform into a production-ready motorcycle, balancing performance, manufacturability, reliability, cost and quality.\nWorking closely with our multidisciplinary engineering team, you'll own major mechanical systems throughout the entire product development cycle. From detailed design and supplier collaboration to validation and production readiness, you'll help build the engineering foundation for Radian's first production motorcycles.\nYour responsibilities\nPlay a major role in the mechanical development from prototype to production.\nDesign, optimize and validate mechanical components and assemblies for production.\nImprove designs for manufacturability (DFM), assembly (DFA), reliability and cost.\nCollaborate closely with suppliers on component development, manufacturing processes and quality.\nDefine tolerances, manufacturing methods and production documentation.\nPerform design reviews, engineering calculations and root cause analyses.\nSupport prototype builds, testing and validation activities.\nWork together with electrical, software and manufacturing engineers to deliver an integrated product.\nDrive continuous improvement throughout the development process.\nMentor junior engineers and contribute to building engineering best practices.\nYour profile\nWe are looking for someone who:\nHas a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline;\nHas 5+ years of professional mechanical design experience;\nHas proven experience bringing complex products from prototype into series production;\nHas strong CAD skills, preferably in SolidWorks;\nHas experience working with suppliers and manufacturing partners;\nHas a strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as castings and injection moulding, affiliated with large-scale vehicle production;\nHas experience within the motorcycle or automotive industry;\nIs comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment where ownership and initiative are valued;\nIs a strong communicator, collaborative, and comfortable working autonomously;\nIs able to communicate effectively in English. Dutch proficiency is a bonus.\nHas the ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines;\nA bonus: passion for motorcycles, motorsport, and/or electric vehicles. A student team background (MotoStudent, Formula Student or comparable) is always nice.\nPracticalities\nThis is a full-time position of 40 hours per week.\nWe are looking for someone who can join as soon as possible.\nThe position is primarily on-site at our office in Hengelo, The Netherlands.
