Develop, resource and manage large scope and long-term projects, making resource, scope, and delivery tradeoffs as necessary. Review work products and progress to ensure success.\nFacilitate meetings with external stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Resolve issues within and across teams. Mentor team and lower-level managers on job specific roles, communication, and collaboration. \nEstablish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements. Develop compensation planning, career coaching, training, and administer company policies for the team.\nWorking with company senior management, drive cross-functional team improvement initiatives to optimize the business, and propose updates to team policies and SOPs. Support development of strategic directions within the team.\nOversee and drive development of new technology services including processes, procedures, AI tools, and required software updates.\nLead and oversee technical asset management activities for battery energy storage system (BESS) projects, including operational performance, availability, warranty review, degradation analysis, and coordination with OEMs, operators, and internal stakeholders.\nReview of monthly and annual invoicing calculation support documentation against energy contracts to validate required calculations, metrics.\nRequired Qualifications & Education\n4-8 years management experience\nProven documentation, presentation, and communication skills with working teams and senior level management, CEOs, boards of directors\nUniversity Degree (or equivalent) with 8+ years domain experience\nExperience managing utility-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) projects, including operations, performance monitoring, contract compliance, and technical issue resolution.\nMasters/Graduate and 6+ years domain experience\nRequired Skills & Competencies\nProven ability to set direction and drive large cross functional team to success. Able to work as part of a larger team.\nProven success in personnel management, coaching & mentoring.\nProven ability to liaise with clients/internal management on significant issues that require high level management intervention in a professional manner.\nRoot cause analysis & process improvement. Big picture thinking that drives teams to meet organizational goals and provides cross-functional improvements.\nProven project and people management skills - organizing work, planning, monitoring and making tradeoffs to ensure quality deliveries.\nWorking knowledge of BESS operational performance drivers, including availability, round-trip efficiency, capacity degradation, augmentation planning, safety considerations, and root cause analysis for equipment or controls-related issues.\nRequired Software Knowledge\nExpertise in MS Office MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF toolsets\nPreferred Experience\nSecond level management of a large team\nSuccessful delivery of large, high impact, cross functional projects\nProcess improvement experience with Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt\nExperience in the green energy or utilities domain\nDirect experience with BESS project commissioning, commercial operations, performance engineering, warranty claims, augmentation strategy, or revenue-impacting availability and dispatch issues.\nExperience with a U.S. based company\nPreferred Skills & Competencies\nRoot cause analysis and problem-solving skills\nStrong communication skills with the ability to distill information and present it in an understandable manner appropriate for the audience\nTraining creation, process improvement\nCoaching / leadership skills\nThis position is fully remote and may be based anywhere in the United States.\nThe target hiring range for this position is $135,000-145,000. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and other relevant factors.
