The team is building a modern platform that leverages Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, and advanced automation practices to ensure security, resiliency, and mission impact.\nPosition Overview\nWe are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Modeling and Simulation (M&S) development team. In this role, you will integrate with the platform engineering team to advance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, manage Kubernetes deployments, and develop Helm configurations that ensure scalability, security, and efficiency.\nThis position offers the opportunity to support the development and deployment of a next-generation modeling and simulation framework. While direct M&S experience is not required, we are looking for innovative, self-starting engineers who thrive in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, implement, and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi).\nDevelop and manage Kubernetes clusters, including Helm charts for complex applications and services.\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring for scalability and reliability.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement best practices.\nEnsure secure, resilient environments aligned with DoD and Zero Trust principles.\nTroubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues across multiple environments.\nRequired Skills and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or related field.\nUS citizenship and ability to obtain a Top-Secret/SCI clearance.\nStrong communication and organizational skills.\nStrong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.\nStrong containerization experience (Docker, Podman, CRI-O, or similar.)\nScripting experience for automation and operational tasks (Ansible, Python, Bash, or similar).\nStrong hands-on experience administering and securing Kubernetes environments.\nStrong hands-on experience securing and maintaining Helm charts.\nProficiency with Git and Git-based workflows.\nStrong Linux/SELinux system administration background.\nExperience working with system context and security context configurations\nExperience working with container sockets and understanding the related security implications\nDesired Qualifications\nSecurity+, CISSP, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).\nFamiliarity with DoD security practices and hardened Linux distributions.\nExperience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud service providers.\nSoft Skills\nDoes not shrink when faced with a challenge, but instead rises to the occasion with persistence and creativity.\nSelf-starter with a proactive mindset who takes ownership of tasks and drives them to completion.Demonstrates initiative and independence, proactively identifying opportunities to contribute without needing constant direction.\n\nStrong team player who collaborates effectively with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nExcellent communication skills, able to clearly explain complex concepts to technical and executive audiences.\nMotivated by mission impact and excited to contribute to programs with national security significance.\nWhat We Offer\nEmployee ownership with profit-sharing opportunities.\nCompetitive salary and unmatched benefits package.\nEducational reimbursement and professional certification support.\nOpportunities for growth on high-impact DoD programs.\nA culture of innovation and collaboration.\nRadiance Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
