This position will support the design, development, and maintenance of mission-critical software solutions, data pipelines, data storage architectures, and analytics capabilities. Majority of tasking is performed on-site.\nRequired Qualifications\nB.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering/Data Science, or a related field.\nActive Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance prior to start.\n7-10+ years of experience with:Algorithmic and software application development.\nStructured programming development using Configuration Management (CM) tools such as Git or Subversion.\nPython programming experience with an understanding of modern data processing libraries such as Polars and/or Pandas, Pydantic and related toolsets.\nXML and JSON formats as well as interaction with libraries that support interaction with these formats.\n Markdown, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript experience.\n\nUnderstands data velocity, volume, variety, and veracity concepts.\nExperience working with structured and unstructured datasets in operational environments.\nStrong understanding of data modeling, data integration, and database design principles.\nExperienced with the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help accelerate performance.\nPreferred Qualifications\nSecurity+ Certification.\nExperience designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using programming skills.\nExperience building and maintaining large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and analytics workflows.\nExperience with data orchestration and automation tools.\nKnowledge of data governance best practices.\nStrong background in working with multi-parameter, time-based data series with preference towards Meteorology and Oceanography datasets.\nExperienced in ESRI Technologies such as Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro / Desktop tools and ESRI Workflow Manager.\nExperience with Cybersecurity best practices and DISA STIG checklists. \nExperience with container technologies and cloud platforms.\nKnowledge of RDBMS databases such as PostgreSQL with PostGIS, SQL Server, or Oracle.\nExperience in integrating geospatial data systems with enterprise data platforms and APIs such as NOAA’s Environmental Research Division's Data Access (ERDDAP) platform.\nResponsibilities\nDesign and maintain scalable data architectures, pipelines, and automated workflows.\nIntegrate data from diverse operational, scientific, and geospatial sources into enterprise systems.\nEnsure data quality, integrity, availability, and security across the data lifecycle.\nCollaborate with scientists, analysts, software developers, and mission stakeholders to deliver data-driven capabilities Help lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment of software applications supporting NAVOCEANO and CNMOC missions.\n Support modernization efforts involving cloud technologies, geospatial systems, and advanced analytics platforms.\nMentor junior engineers and contribute to technical strategy and best practices.\nRadiance Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
