This role contributes to the continuous operation and resilience of industrial control systems (ICS) and Operational Technology (OT) environments by assisting in incident response, threat analysis, and the application of security measures specifically designed for renewable energy generators’ OT networks.\n Role and Responsibilities\nMonitor OT networks for security threats and vulnerabilities, assisting in incident responses.\nManage user provisioning, including creating and maintaining user accounts, modifying permissions, and managing access control lists.\nExecute standard operating procedures and adhere to company policies.\nMaintain system integrity through routine management of backup and recovery services, file and disk management, and virus protection.\nEngage with internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring timely resolution.\nPerform design, implementation, and administration of complex computing environments in power generation, involving systems like Windows servers and workstations, network and security hardware from Hirschmann, Palo-Alto, and Cisco, communications via ISP services, storage solutions such as SQL and historians, and substation hardware including SEL, along with UPS and PDU systems.\nEvaluate and review host, system, and network configurations for newly acquired sites, recommending improvements.\nRegularly review security, antivirus, traffic, and event logs to ensure optimal operation and security compliance.\nReport on project & ticket statuses and participate in staff and client meetings as required.\nExecute assigned work orders, including support tickets and project tasks, to fulfill obligations under Managed Services Provider (MSP) and Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) contracts for both new and existing customer facilities.\nPerform routine and scheduled maintenance, address break/fix issues, act as a subject matter expert for programs and products offered and respond to emergent conditions across the fleet.\nExecute vulnerability assessments using scanning software, implement mitigation plans for vulnerabilities, and review security, antivirus, traffic, and event logs.\nAdhere to cybersecurity and information security procedures, guidelines, and policies, and edit Access Control Lists and security policies.\nQualifications:\nTechnical degree or 3 years of relevant OT experience; direct or indirect service experience preferred.\nExperience in NERC CIP-regulated environments, compliance programs, or standard-driven environments such as PCI-DSS, NIST, ISO-27001.\nKnowledgeable in server hardware, OS management, networking, cybersecurity, and data storage and recovery.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.\nEffective communication and organizational skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively and make decisions independently.\nWorking Conditions:\nFloating Role: This position is based in Mexico and requires flexibility to adapt to various schedules as needed.\nShift Work: This role operates on a swing shift as part of a 24/7 operation center, requiring staff to work from late afternoon to late night, including weekends and holidays.\nPreferred Experience:\nExperience working in a SOC, NOC, or similar operation center.\nBackground in network and infrastructure design, deployment, or maintenance, with a focus on power generation, especially renewable energy.\nWork experience in at least one of the following areas:- SCADA and SCADA historian design, deployment, or maintenance","description_format":"text","description_chars":4509,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"Mexico","iso":"MX","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Incident Response","Cybersecurity","Financial Services","Banking"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-11T07:11:37Z"}],"liveness":{"score":23,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.52,"p_room":0.44,"age_days":61,"expected_fill_days":43,"reasons":["conf:6","win:tail","crowd:"],"computed_at":"2026-09-23T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/radiangen-soc-associate-i","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/radiangen-soc-associate-i.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-24T02:50:43Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers"}}
