Founded in 2020, Radiant is on track to test its first reactor at the Idaho National Laboratory this summer, with initial customer deliveries beginning in 2028.\n\nAbout the Role\nRadiant is looking for an Indirect Procurement Associate to support sourcing and procurement of indirect goods and services - Facilities, IT, Professional Services, MRO, consumables, and R&D collaborations. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong technical instincts who wants to build skills in supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract support. You'll work alongside Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Production, and will be paired with more senior procurement staff to develop your commercial and negotiation skill set.\nResponsibilities & Duties\nSupport sourcing efforts for indirect categories (IT, Professional Services, MRO, consumables, R&D collaborations) by gathering technical requirements and evaluating supplier capability against Radiant's engineering needs.\n\nAssist with drafting and reviewing SOWs, NDAs, and PO terms; help prepare negotiation positions for MSAs and licensing agreements under guidance from senior staff.\n\nHelp manage facilities/MRO procurement tasks - coordinating with vendors on maintenance, repairs, equipment, and small lab build-out needs.\n\nTrack purchase orders through the procure-to-pay cycle, flagging delays or technical mismatches early.\n\nAct as a day-to-day point of contact for select, lower-complexity suppliers, escalating high-stakes commercial matters to senior procurement staff.\n\nContribute technical judgment to cost and quality trade-off discussions.\n\nHelp identify supply chain risks from an engineering/technical perspective (e.g., part obsolescence, service quality issues).\n\nSupport process documentation and improvement efforts.\n\nRequired Qualifications & Skills\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related engineering field) strongly preferred, Supply Chain or similar degrees considered\n\n1-3 years of relevant experience; prior procurement/sourcing experience is a plus but not required.\n\nStrong technical/mechanical aptitude and genuine interest in the commercial side of engineering (supplier selection, cost trade-offs, contracts).\n\nGood analytical and organizational skills; comfortable learning negotiation and contract fundamentals on the job.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nComfortable with ERP/MRP systems and standard office software (or willing to learn quickly).\n\nOccasional travel to supplier locations (up to 20%).\n\nDesired Qualifications\nExposure to Facilities, MRO, IT, or Professional Services sourcing.\n\nCoursework or interest in quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100).\n\nInterest in the energy/nuclear sector.\n\nAdditional Requirements\nMust be willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.\n\nMust work 100% onsite at El Segundo HQ.\n\nBenefits and Perks\nStock: Substantial incentive stock plan for all full-time employees.\n\nMedical: 100% up to base silver level plan for employee + 50% dependents, offers up to Platinum plans.\n\nOne Medical: Sponsored memberships for employees and their dependents.\n\nVision: 100% top tier plan coverage + 50% for dependents.\n\nDental: 100% top tier plan coverage, orthodontia extra, 50% for dependents.\n\nVoluntary life, accident, hospital, critical illness, commuter and FSA/HSA are offered as employee contributed benefits.\n\n8-weeks of paid parental leave for all parents.
